War Hammer Titan - Attack on Titan

The War Hammer Titan is one of the Nine Titans in the Attack on Titan universe. Some of its most notable features include its ability to create structures from the hardened flesh of Titans. In Chapter 95, it is explained that, until 854, the Tybur family retained the power of the War Hammer Titan for several generations, but currently, it is Eren Jaeger who possesses it. In the manga , it first appears in Chapter 101. In the anime series, it is likely to make an appearance in Season 4 , the final season of the series.

In the series, it is explained that ancient artwork depicted the War Hammer Titan as a man carrying a hammer. When he finally appeared in the manga, he actually possesses a massive warhammer powerful enough to completely destroy any type of hardened Titan skin.

SKILLS

The Warhammer Titan can produce and manipulate objects created from the hardened flesh of the Titan. It can craft several types of structures, from weapons large enough to confront a Titan, to flood zones and its signature warhammer. In addition to hard objects, it can also create flexible weapons, such as a crossbow string. This ability is also apparent with the Female Titan 's heir, and was used in Chapter 102 to encase the Warhammer Titan's heir in a crystal.

However, this hardened crystal form can be damaged when struck or crushed by a more powerful weapon, such as the Jaw Titan's claws and teeth, which proved effective in Chapter 104. Theo Magath, the general of the Marleyan army, stated in Chapter 117 that these structural strengthening abilities should be used sparingly. Otherwise, if the Warhammer Titan overuses these abilities too much in a short period of time, the inheritor can quickly exhaust its resistance.

Unlike all other Titans, the Warhammer Titan can also remove its control center from its neck. In this case, the Titan's body is connected to its heir by a long flesh cable, as seen in Chapter 102. However, if someone cuts this cable, the Warhammer Titan will remain inactive, although it can create a new body. Furthermore, a unique ability of the Warhammer Titan is that, since the heir does not need to be inside its neck, the Titan's body can emerge from various locations after its transformation.

Origins

The War Hammer Titan, along with all of the Nine Titans , appeared after the death of Ymir Fritz. 1,700 years after her death, one or more of the feuding Eldian houses that were subservient to the Founding Titan were the ones who possessed the War Hammer Titan. After seventeen centuries, Karl Fritz, king of the Fritz family, decided to abandon the Eldian confrontations and settled on Paradis Island. As seen in Chapter 86, after moving to Paradis Island, the Tybur family took the War Hammer Titan and were the first Eldians to aid the people of Marley during the Great Titan War. The War Hammer Titan was the last Titan that its original noble family, the Eldians, ever held.

After the end of this war, the Warhammer Titan remained in the possession of the Tybur family, who swore to defend Marley as honorary aristocrats of Marley. However, as explained in Chapter 95, the Warhammer Titan was not used in combat for the next century. The Warhammer Titan's power was passed down through the generations among members of this family, and for security reasons, the identity of its heir was kept secret from the population, except for a few high-ranking individuals in Marley. After his speech to world leaders in Chapter 99, the current heir to this Titan was believed to be Willy Tybur.

However, after the chaos caused by Eren Jaeger (transformed into a Titan) in Liberio when he murdered and devoured Willy Tybur, the latter's sister decided to confront him by also using her powers to fight, thus revealing herself to be the true heir to the War Hammer Titan.

So, Mikasa The Warhammer Titan directly confronted the Warhammer Titan, without Willy Tybur's sister noticing that it was a diversionary maneuver so that Eren could discover its true weak point. Thus, once verified that the Titan's true body was hidden underground, Eren dug up the crystallized body of the Warhammer Titan's wielder, cutting the cord that connected the crystal to the Titan's body. After doing so, the Warhammer Titan stopped moving. Just as Eren was about to eat the Tybur sister's body, Porco Galliard and Pieck joined the battle. Taking advantage of the distraction, the Warhammer heir generated a new body that grabbed Eren's body Attack on Titan . At that time, the Beast Titan also arrived to join the battle against the Survey Corps None

As the battle continues, Eren attempts to break the glass protecting Tybur, and after several futile attempts, he discovers that only the Jaw Titan can break the material. Thus, when he immobilizes Galliard, Eren takes the Titan by the hair while tearing off his arms, then inserts Miss Tybur's crystallized body into the Titan's jaws and, using them like a nutcracker, shatters the glass and crushes the woman inside, drinking the blood flowing from her compressed body in order to gain the power of the Warhammer Titan.
