Uruha Rushia - VTuber

Uruha Rushia is a small necromancer who is a 3rd generation member of Hololive . Although she often tries to portray herself as a pure, kind, and shy girl, she can quickly become angry under the right circumstances. Despite her outbursts of anger, Rushia has gained an impressive following among the VTuber community and is one of the few VTubers to have earned over a million subscribers.

Like several other Hololive VTubers, Rushia doesn't really have a specific goal when it comes to her content, but she's generally known for her bouts of frustration while playing video games. That said, she also posts videos featuring ASMR, song covers, and more.

Story of Uruha Rushia

Before her official YouTube debut, Rushia and Usada Pekora revealed Rushia's name and Twitter account during a karaoke stream hosted by Hololive on June 24, 2019. On July 18 of the same year, Rushia made her debut and introduced herself as a young and innocent necromancer-in-training who uses her powers to speak with spirits because she doesn't like being alone. By the end of the year, Rushia had already gained 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel and revealed her 3D model. The following year, Rushia would also receive several alternate outfits for her 2D model and explode in popularity like the other Hololive members. In March 2021, Rushia would become one of the few VTubers to gain over 1 million subscribers.

Physical description of Uruha Rushia

Uruha Rushia is a little girl with normally green hair, but it can turn blue or pink depending on the outfit she wears. Her original outfit consists of a blue dress with a butterfly motif, as butterflies are associated with souls that have passed on in some cultures. The collar of her dress is also adorned with a skull charm, further emphasizing her necromancer design. Her hair in her original outfit is shoulder-length and a light shade of green. While other outfits have different hairstyles, her first outfit has her hair worn in a pair of buns held together with black hair ties.

Rushia has also been given several alternate outfits to wear. Her first outfit was the New Year's outfit, which consists of a pink and blue kimono decorated with cherry blossoms and butterflies. Her hair is also considerably longer and is now a shade of blue that fades to pink towards the bottom. Her other alternate outfit includes a black and white dress decorated with ruffled ribbon strips and a pair of thigh-high white socks. Rushia's hair is also light pink and is worn in two ponytails, though she can also swap this hairstyle for her regular one.

Personality of Uruha Rushia

Most of the time, Rushia comes across as a cute, yet sweet girl who can easily get flustered when talking to others. She also seeks attention from her viewers quite often and often asks for praise and affection while streaming. That said, there are many times when Rushia gets incredibly frustrated with a game she's playing and has an outburst of rage. During one such episode, Rushia often screams out loud and bangs on her desk. Mario Kart 8 is a particularly infuriating game for her and causes her to let out a screaming squeal when things are pelted with objects. Rushia is also quite sensitive about her breast size and quickly gets upset when viewers and other VTubers tease her about it. That said, Rushia truly cherishes her viewers and can sometimes be quite open with them.

Uruha Rushia is a member of Hololive Production, a VTuber agency owned by Cover Corporation. While it has branches in several regions around the world, its largest branch is its Japanese branch. Hololive Japan currently has seven different generations, with Rushia being part of the 3rd generation. The 3rd generation consists of five different VTubers: Usada Pekora, Houshou Marin (Marin), None Noël Shirogane, None Shiranui Flame , and Rushia herself. This generation is also currently the only generation in the Japanese branch to have a theme, which for this generation is "Fantasy."

While Rushia hosts a variety of different types of content on her YouTube channel, some of her most popular gaming streams include her gameplay of Undertale and Pokémon Sword/Shield .

Subtitle

Undertale is an indie game that took the gaming world by storm after its initial release in 2015. However, towards the beginning of 2021, Hololive members like Houshou Marine, Shirakami Fubuki None Amane Kanata , and many others would end up playing Undertale around the same time. Rushia started playing the game on February 16, 2021, and has played through all three main routes the game has to offer. Due to the game's emotional story and notoriously difficult boss fights, Rushia has shown a wide range of emotions from sadness to fury, making this one of her most popular stream series.

Pokémon Sword/Shield

Rushia is also known for being a huge fan of the Pokémon series. This has led to several Pokémon Sword/Shield streams where she does things like play the story, trade Pokémon with others, and have random online battles. On December 28, 2020, Rushia would participate in a Pokémon Sword/Shield collaboration stream with Omaru Polka that was broadcast on NicoNico. In this stream, the two VTubers had three hours to play the game's story mode and create a team that they would use to battle each other at the end.
