Background
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime , also known as TenSura , is an isekai light novel series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah that began publishing on the user-generated novel publishing site Shosetsuka ni Naro in February 2013. The series was acquired by Micro Magazine in May 2014 and is published under their GC Novels imprint.
A manga adaptation by Taiki Kawakami began in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in 2015. It was followed by several spin-offs. The first, titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: How Monsters Walk (None Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken: Mamono no Arukikata ), is illustrated by Sho Okagiri and has been serialized on Micro Magazine's Comic Walk website since July 2016. The second is the 4-part manga The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (None Tensura Nikki: Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken ), illustrated by Shiba, and serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine since March 2018. The third is That Time I Got Reincarnated (Again!) as a Workaholic Slime (None Tensei Shitara Shachiku Datta Ken ), illustrated by Shizuku Akechi, and serialized on the Niconico website since September 2018. The fourth is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Strange Story ~Trinity Living in the storm None Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Ibun Makuni Kurashi in Trinity ) illustrated by Tae Tono and serialized in the webcomic Suiyobi in Sirius . And the fifth is That Time I Got Reincarnated for Island Farming None Tensei Shitara Shima Kosaku Datta Ken ) supervised by Fuse and written by Kenshi Hirokane and Yasuki Kawakami whose serialization began in the March 2019 issue of Soirée None
Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a spin-off anime. The series is once again animated by studio 8 Bit and stars Yuji Ikuhara as director, with Kotatsumikan handling series composition, Atsushi Irie and Risa Takai handling character designs, and RON composing the music. The anime's opening theme song is "Brand New Diary" by Akane Kumada. The anime was originally scheduled to premiere in January 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will instead premiere on April 6, 2021, on Tokyo MX, MBS, BS11, and other channels.

Rimuru (Voice: Miho Okazaki)
Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old salaryman, was stabbed in a random attack and died before being reincarnated as a slime known as Rimuru. Using the two unique skills he was reincarnated with, "Great Sage" and "Predator," Rimuru is able to befriend many other types of creatures even as a slime.
Great Sage (Voice: Megumi Toyoguchi)
The Great Sage is one of the two unique abilities Rimuru was granted for his reincarnation. Whenever something happens to Rimuru's body, a small voice that only Rimuru can hear offers him advice, sometimes adding other relevant information as well...
Veldora (Voice: Tomoaki Maeno)
Veldora is the first dragon Rimuru meets. Known as the "Storm Dragon," Veldora was locked in a cave by a hero for 300 years.
Benimaru (Voice: Makoto Furukawa)
Benimaru is the son of an ogre chieftain whose family was wiped out in an orc attack. He has fiery red hair and eyes, and two black horns on his head. Benimaru has a strong sense of justice and bravely opposes things he considers wrong.
Shuna (Voice: Sayaka Senbongi)
Shuna is Benimaru's younger sister and the princess of the ogres. She has pale pink hair and white porcelain horns on her head. In addition to her beautiful appearance, Shuna has also been blessed with excellent fashion sense and culinary talents.
Shion (Voice of: MAO)
Shion is a purple-haired, purple-eyed ogre with a shiny black horn in the middle of her head. At first glance, she has a cool beauty but hides an intense fighting spirit.
Soei (Voice of: Takuya Eguchi)
Soei is a dark-skinned, blue-black-haired ogre with a large white horn on his head. Thanks to his calm and cool personality, he excels at secret missions.
Hakuro (Voice of: Houchu Otsuka)
Hakuro is an old ogre in Benimaru's service. Despite his age, Hakuro remains a superior swordsman.
Kurobe (Voice of: Junichi Yanagita)
Companion of Benimaru and his friends who escaped from the ogre tribe's village. He has a pair of small horns on his forehead and is skilled in his family's trade, swordsmithing.
Rigid (Voice of: Kanehira Yamamoto)
Rigurd is a frail old goblin and the leader of the goblin village. Rimuru recruits him to join Stormfly to rule the goblin sub-leaders as Goblin King.
Gobta (Voice of: Asuna Tomari)
Geld is a small goblin and the leader of the goblin raiders serving Rimuru. Although smaller than the other goblins, he is skilled enough with a sword to be able to defeat large monsters.
Rank (Voiced by: Chikahiro Kobayashi)
Son of the chieftain of the Fanged Wolf clan, Ranga is a well-built beast with a single protruding horn in the middle of his forehead. Under the pretext of Veldora's disappearance, the Fanged Wolf clan attacked the goblin village, which had become the dominant group in the forest.
Kaijin (Voice of: Atsushi Ono)
A dwarven blacksmith who runs an armor shop in the dwarven capital of Dwargon. Garm, Dold, and Myrd. Kaido, the captain of the guard, is his younger brother.

Geld is an orc that Rimuru named after defeating the Orc Lord and making him lord of the High Orcs in Tempest and commander of their army.
Gabiru (Voice of: Jun Fukushima)
Gabiru is the son of the leader of the lizardmen. After being banished by his father, he entered the service of Rimuru, who gave him his name and evolved him into a Dragonewt.
Soka (Voice of: Rumi Okubo)
Gabiru's younger sister. When her brother rebelled and imprisoned the chief, she escaped from the village and asked Rimuru for help. At first, she didn't have a name, but Rimuru gave her one.
Vesta (Voice of: Kenjiro Tsuda)
Minister of the Dwarven capital, Dwargon. He has known Kaijin for a long time, but harasses him with unreasonable demands. His lies are discovered by King Gazel, and he is banned from entering the royal palace and loses his position.
Treyni (Voiced by: Rie Tanaka)
Treyni is a dryad who guards the Great Forest of Jura with other dyads. She forms an alliance with Rimuru to found Tempest.
You (Voice of: Yoshimasa Hosoya)
The leader of an investigation team sent by the Kingdom of Falmuth to the Jura Forest to investigate the orc lord.
Eren (Voiced by: Akane Kumada)
A witch who is one of the adventurers who belong to the Free Guild. She has a cheerful and positive personality.
Gido (Voice of: Ryuichi Kijima)
A thief adventurer belonging to the Free Guild. He speaks with a distinctive accent. His trademark is his bandana.
Kaval (Voiced by: Kengo Takanashi)
An adventurer belonging to the Free Guild. He is a fighter and the leader of a group of three. He has a strong sense of justice but also a tendency toward recklessness.
Rocket (Voiced by: Ken Narita)
The leader of the Blumund Kingdom branch of the Free Guild. When he senses Veldora's presence has disappeared, he sends Kabal and the others to investigate.
Gazelle (Voice of: Takaya Hashi)
The third dwarf king of Dwargon. He is a sturdy and strong man, also called the Hero King. The dwarven people trust him.
Shizu (Voice of: Yumiri Hanamori)
A woman who meets Rimuru and has a great influence on his destiny. She controls an exceptionally powerful fire power. Originally from a Japanese woman who lived in Tokyo during the war, she was summoned to this world by the Demon Lord.
Clayman (Voice of: Takehito Koyasu)
A new-generation Demon Lord born 400 years ago. He attempted to manipulate Gelmud into creating a Demon Lord, but it ended in failure. He is also trying to advance a new plan.
Mjurran (Voice of: Atsumi Tanezaki)
A mysterious woman who was chosen to accompany the heroic Youm in recognition of her abilities (or lack thereof).
Milim Nava (Voice of: Rina Hidaka)
Milim Nava is a Dragonoid also known as a Destroyer. She is the oldest and strongest of the Demon Lords. Realizing that Rimuru was no ordinary person, she decided to show herself.
Ramiris (Voice of: Anzu Haruno)
Ramiris is one of the Demon Lords who controls an alternate dimension called the Labyrinth. She loves manga and shares her hobby with Veldora.
Diablo (Voice of: Takahiro Sakurai)
Diablo is Rimuru's most powerful subordinate and one of the Seven Primordial Dragons summoned by Rimuru upon his ascension to Demon Lord. He is completely loyal to Rimuru and forms the Black Numbers unit, composed of highly trained demons who serve as Tempest's most powerful soldiers.
