Super Saiyan 3 Transformation - Dragon Ball

Super Saiyan 3 or Ultra Super Saiyan 3, SS3, Ultra Super Saiyan - achieves the second phase of Saiyan transformation which becomes the third version of the Super Saiyan class. The third form draws the maximum capacity from a Saiyan's blood. The first Saiyan to achieve this form through hard and extreme training in the Other World is the main protagonist, Son Goku , followed by Son Goten and Trunks with guidance from Goku for both.

History

The initial design concept made by Akira Toriyama hand-drawn in a manga sketch and mentioned in his June 2014 interview with Saikyō Jump. He states that mastering both Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 will require less energy drain from Saiyans and will still greatly increase a Saiyan's power. Initially, there was rejection of Akira's concept on the Super Saiyan 3 form with a tail. However, in the Dragon Ball GT series, his design concept adapts to the Fourth Form of Super Saiyan . The Super Saiyan 3 form is attainable through intense training in out-of-this-world situations, such as when Son Goku achieves it while in the afterlife known as "Other World" with the guidance of one who possesses the knowledge on how to achieve it, such as the Grand Kai's guidance to Goku. Another example is when Son Goten and Trunks achieve the Super Saiyan 3 form only with Goku's guidance and through fusion, known as Gotenks None

Transformation

In Goku 's initial appearance of the Super Saiyan 3 form on Earth, there was tremendous instability in the use of this power. It causes side effects like gigantic tidal waves or hurricanes endangering the planet. Due to the massive bursts of power, this puts the Saiyan under the radar of the Sacred World Kais. Another drawback of the transformation concerns the abrupt use of it splitting Goku's temporary energy revival in half against his fight against Majin Buu. Furthermore, the moment he presents this to Goten and Trunks , his energy is depleted so much that he immediately returns to the Other World.

The appearance of Super Saiyan 3 differs markedly from that of the Saiyan, with the hair becoming longer than Super Saiyan 2 , unless the user is bald, in which case they will remain bald. In the case of Cumber's transformation into a Dragon Ball Super Hero, there is no change in hair length. The thickness of the hair becomes coarse, smooth, and flowing, while the Saiyan's hair color takes on a darker shade of golden blonde.

The Saiyan's eyebrows disappear, resulting in prominent eye ridges, except for the female version of the Saiyan 3 in Xenoverse 2 & Dragon Ball Super Heroes . The tone of voice becomes deep in the anime. Meanwhile, the Saiyan's muscles achieve a noticeable outline en masse. The Super Saiyan 3's aura features sharper and broader lines extending further from the body compared to when it initially represented massive energy emanating from the user.

Power and usage

Super Saiyan 3 uses the blood of a Super Saiyan to its maximum potential to the point of harnessing the user's hidden potential to its limits. To calculate the amount of power used by this form, multiply the Super Saiyan's power by eight times. The requirements to achieve the Super Saiyan 3 form involve the user being a Super Saiyan and finding and harnessing the energy they possess extensively to activate the transformation. Goten and Trunks , also called Gotenks , become a helping factor in achieving the Super Saiyan 3 transformation. The difficulty in defeating the opponent pushes them to their breaking point during their encounter with Kid Buu. To defeat Kid Buu, a combination of Super Spirit Bombs from energy collected on Earth and Namekian villagers was necessary to finish him off.

Variations

Full Power Super Saiyan 3 is a form of advancement while the user is at Super Saiyan 3, allowing for maximum power output but without the consequences of energy expenditure or physical burden on the user (the power exhibited by the former Super Saiyan Cumber).
