Story Arcs - Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)

The Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) series is still ongoing, and to date, the manga has reached the Dimensional Infinity Fortress arc. Season 1 of the anime series consists of the first six arcs, starting with the Final Selection arc and ending with the Functional Recovery Training arc. Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie Mugen Train covers the Demon Train arc. Season 2 is expected to continue after the Demon Train arc.

Final selection

The first arc of the series centers on Tanjiro Kamado's journey after his family was massacred. The arc concludes after he passes the Final Selection Test and receives his Nichirin Blade. He begins by seeking out Sakonji Urokodaki to train as a Demon Slayer. During the training, he meets Urokodaki's apprentices, Sabito and Makomo, who help him master the Total Concentration Water Breathing Style. During the selection, Tanjiro encounters the Hand Demon who had a grudge against Urokodaki and discovers more about his master's mysterious past.

First mission

The First Mission arc is the shortest arc, taking place in episodes 6 and 7 of the anime series. Tanjiro begins his first mission as a Demon Slayer, investigating the disappearance of young girls from a nearby town. In this arc, Tanjiro and Nezuko both battle the Swamp Demon, discovering their bonding power, and their first encounter with the Demon Blood Arts.

Asakusa Arc

The Asakusa Arc lasts for 3 episodes, beginning with Tanjiro's first encounter with Muzan Kibutsuji . The Twelve Moon Demons, also known as the Twelve Kizuki, are introduced. They are a group of twelve powerful Demons under Muzan's command, all having received some of his blood. Tanjiro also meets Doctor Tamayo and her assistant Yushiro at their clinic. After being found by Susamaru and Yahaba , they unite to fight them.

Drum House Arch

The Drum House arc takes place at the Tsuzumi Mansion, this arc consists of 4 episodes introducing other demon slayers and traveling companions to Tanjiro and Nezuko. During his journey, Tanjiro meets Zenitsu Agatsuma and decides to help two young children find their older brother in a suspicious mansion. There they meet a demon named Kyogai and a demon slayer named Inosuke Hashibira . In this mansion, there are other demons that Zenitsu and Inosuke fight against, named the Horned Demon , and the None Tongue Demon.

Natagumo Mountain Arch

In the Natagumo Mountain Arc, gathering new allies along his journey, Tanjiro and his companions head toward their next mission at Natagumo Mountain. This is a long arc, spanning from episode 15 to the end of episode 21, consisting of 7 episodes. Realizing that something is wrong, the three demon slayers and Nezuko are confronted by the Spider Demon Family, including one of the Twelve Demon Moons, Rui.

Functional Recovery Training

The Functional Recovery Training arc lasts from episode 22 to the final episode 26 of Season 1 of the anime. Tanjiro and Nezuko are tested by the Pillars. After Nezuko proves she can resist human consumption, they are taken to the Butterfly Mansion to recover. While recovering from their fight at Natagumo Mountain, Tanjiro meets Zenitsu and Inosuke, who are still recovering at the Butterfly Mansion. During rehabilitation, they undergo training with the residents, learning to master breathing with total concentration for over 24 hours.

Demon Train Arc

The Demon Slayer Train arc is the seventh story arc of the Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) series and serves as the basis for the first film titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train . A demon named Enmu was sent to destroy Tanjiro Kamado in order to promote him to become a High Moon. There is an Infinity Train where the main characters travel to discover the Flame Pillar, Kyojuro Rengoku None

Entertainment District Arch

The Entertainment District arc introduces the Sound Pillar, Uzui, who is joined by Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu on a trip to Yoshiwara to help find his lost wives who were investigating rumors of demons in the city.

The Blacksmith Village Arch

The Blacksmith Village Arc is the ninth arc of the series. A war between Demon Slayer Tanjiro Kamado and Genya Shinazugawa, the Love Pillar Mitsuri Kanroji, and the Demon Nezuko Kamado against the Upper Moon Pillar Four, Hantengu. A separate battle takes place in the Blacksmith Village between the Mist Pillar Muichiro Tokito and the Upper Moon Pillar Five, Gyokko.

Pillar Training

The Pillar Training Arc features Pillar Training conducted by the Pillars. This is a special training program aimed at improving the abilities and physical health of all Demon Slayers. The training is divided among the Pillars. First, the Sound Pillar, Uzui Tengen, conducts basic endurance training. Then, the Love Pillar, Kanroji Mitsuri, handles strength training, and the Mist Pillar, Muichirou Tokito, conducts quick movement training.

Dimensional Infinity Fortress Arc

The Infinity Fortress story arc introduces the Infinity Fortress, the lair of the Twelve Demon Moons. Muzan calls upon the Lesser Moons to force the group's disbandment.
