Sanji vs. Queen: Who Won the Fight?

One Piece is an anime that certainly has its share of strong and powerful characters. Most of them are protagonists or their allies, but One Piece has also introduced us to many powerful antagonists. In light of this, this article will focus on a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Vinsmoke Sanji, one of the best cooks in the series, and the Queen of Kaidou crew, since the two actually fought in Wano Country in one of the best fights of the arc. In this article, we will analyze both, as we will pit Queen against Sanji to determine who is the strongest of the two and tell you who won the fight.

Using Ifrit Jambe, a more powerful variation of his Diable Jambe technique, Sanji managed to knock Queen down, then used his Ox Burst technique to finish her off and send her flying off Onigashima. Queen may seem imposing, but thanks to Sanji's skill and willpower, Sanji was able to defeat one of Kaidou's strongest men.

The rest of this article will expand on the answer given above, as we'll compare Queen and Sanji in more detail. Through several categories, we'll see who is the stronger of the two and present the outcome of their fight in the series. If you haven't read the manga, we must warn you that there will be spoilers in this article.

Physical powers

Sanji's kicks are the main source of his strength and power. Sanji has extraordinarily strong legs and feet, capable of breaking through boulders and easily defeating opponents much larger than himself, demonstrating that he possesses highly superhuman leg strength (such as Bananawani or Mohmoo). He can move with greater agility and superhuman speed thanks to his legs, as evidenced by the fact that, despite his eventual defeat at the hands of Kalifa, he was able to easily keep up with her (although he stated that he would refuse to fight a woman).

Sanji primarily uses his legs to fight, but his arms are so powerful that he can stand on them, increasing his adaptability in many situations. He can also perform a handstand with one hand. Although he has repeatedly been subjected to massive blows to the head and chest that caused little harm, his body displays superhuman resilience.

He even managed to properly acquire an El Thor from Enel while he was still slightly conscious, taunting his attacker. Sanji's speed, which is comparable to Brook and Luffy's at Speed Two, is one of his greatest assets. He can move so quickly that he can evade detection and attack individuals without anyone noticing. His body has become much faster and stronger over the past two years.

Does Fubuki love Saitama?

Queen has demonstrated fast enough reflexes to easily parry Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Gun and throw him aside. He has extremely superhuman stamina, as evidenced by his ability to stay awake and even get up immediately after being attacked twice by Big Mom. Furthermore, Queen is exceptionally fast despite his enormous size and weight.

In terms of stamina and brute strength, Queen definitely surpasses Sanji, but it is a fact that Sanji's kicks and fighting skills were enough to defeat Queen, which is why we decided to split the points in this category.

Points: Sanji 1, Queen 1

Devil Fruit

Vinsmoke Sanji is a very powerful character. He is known as one of the most powerful characters in the series and one of the best one-on-one fighters in the series. Now, Sanji's powers and feats suggest that he has consumed a Devil Fruit, but is this true? It isn't, namely that Vinsmoke Sanji has never eaten a Devil Fruit. This makes Sanji one of the few characters (most notably Zoro, Shanks, and Mihawk) who is extremely powerful but hasn't actually consumed a Devil Fruit; most other powerful characters have their Devil Fruits to thank for their individual reputations.

Sanji vs Queen

The ancient Zoan-style Devil Fruit known as Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Brachiosaurus, which Queen ingested, allowed her to transform into a Brachiosaurus. Once fully converted, Queen grows enormously in size, even surpassing Big Mom, who stands at nearly eight meters. She is able to use the Brachiosaurus's signature long neck in combat, primarily to strike distant opponents. Her physical weight has also increased considerably, which she can use to her advantage as few opponents can withstand the force of her enormous, modified body striking them.

This category is pretty straightforward, as Sanji doesn't have a Devil Fruit, unlike Queen. In light of this fact, Queen definitely wins this point and there's no dilemma about it.

Although Sanji has demonstrated mastery of both Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku Haki, the former is his area of expertise and what he is best known for.

Sanji is skilled in the use of Kenbunshoku Haki and even has a specialization in this style of Haki. With this type of Haki, he was able to sense the presence, power, feelings, and intentions of others. Even he was surprised when Charlotte Katakuri, who was a more skilled user of Kenbunshoku Haki, fired a projectile at him.

Sanji can use Busoshoku Haki in its most powerful projection form. Despite being injured by Judge's spear strike, he did not demonstrate any use of this Haki prior to the fight. During their battle on Whole Cake Island, Sanji was also able to injure Luffy. Sanji used Busoshoku Haki to protect Carrot from Charlotte Daifuku's brilliant attack later in the same story arc, just after returning to Sunny with Luffy.

Nobara Kugisaki's Power in Jujutsu Kaisen Explained

We know that Queen is capable of using Kenbunshoku Haki and Busoshoku Haki, as we've seen him use them in the series. We also know that he can't use Royal Haki. As for specific details, we don't really have them, as Queen's Haki was never a prominent feature in the series, so that's all we have.

And even though they can both use the same two types of Haki, the fact that Sanji was able to defeat Queen when they fought implies that Sanji might be better in this category, which is why we're giving him this point.

Point: Sanji 2, Queen 2

Weapons

Although Sanji's principle as a cook is to keep his hands only for cooking, he has faced numerous weapons throughout the play. Sanji, according to his father, has received sword training. The extent of Sanji's expertise is unknown, however, as he only uses his hands for cooking and avoids the risk of damaging them during combat.

When using knives, however, he demonstrates remarkable knife handling and is quite precise, not hesitating to juggle multiple blades with finesse. He also displays great ambidexterity, using both hands equally to hold two knives simultaneously against Wanze. He is able to slice Wanze's ramen and place the pieces in a dish with sufficient precision. Kitchen knives are not designed to cut people, as Sanji explains in his distinction between them and Sabers.

One of the two cutlasses Queen wears around his waist, which has been strapped to his side since he attempted to cut Sanji's torso, has been broken. Additionally, Queen has access to unique necklaces that release blades from within. Twenty years ago, Queen attacked the Nine Red Pods with a bat-like weapon. Queen attacked X Drake with a machine gun in Onigashima. Drake's own response suggests that the bullets for this weapon are rare. Zoro eventually destroyed the weapon.

Queen uses various cybernetic modifications to his body to greatly aid him in combat. He claims to be a cyborg with technological prowess surpassing even that of Vegapunk, the greatest scientific mind of all time and Queen's former companion. The many high-tech weapons and mechanisms Queen has placed within his body are frequently used in conjunction with his Devil Fruit powers.

His upgrades include rocket launchers, metal claws, laser beams, and extendable mechanized limbs. He has a machine gun, fake fangs, and a laser beam cannon inside his mouth when he transforms into a brachiosaurus, the latter being a particularly advanced technology that great engineers like Franky and Vegapunk have only mimicked. He also has artificial fangs at the end of his brachiosaurus tail. Additionally, a mechanical cable embedded in his neck area allows him to extend the already large reach of his brachiosaurus neck. He also has voice-activated rocket launchers on his sides and retractable needles in his teeth.

And while it may seem like Queen's powerful arsenal will destroy Sanji, it's not about the weapons you have, but rather how you use them. Queen lost to Sanji despite her powerful arsenal, so we decided to split the points here—we can't deny that Queen's weapons are more powerful than Sanji's, but it obviously wasn't enough.

Sanji managed to defeat Queen in Wano

Sanji and Queen faced off in Wano Kuni in one of the best fights of the arc. Queen had been chasing Sanji ever since the incident with Some, where Queen accused Sanji of hitting the young geisha, despite Sanji never hitting a woman, and the two engaged in a fierce fight. Although it seemed Queen would win, Sanji was ultimately able to use his Ifrit Jambe, a more powerful variation of his Diable Jambe technique. Sanji was able to knock Queen down, then used his Ox Burst technique to finish her off and send her flying off Onigashima. Queen was later apprehended by the Marines.
