How strong is Jogo in Jujutsu Kaisen?

How Strong Is Jogo in Jujutsu Kaisen?

Jogo is an unregistered special quality cursed spirit, meaning he is much stronger than regular cursed spirits. It was born from humanity's natural fear of volcanoes. This primal fear caused him to become an exceptionally powerful cursed spirit, even among the special grades.

According to Kenjaku, Jogo's strength is almost equal to that of 's eight or nine fingers. This particular claim is never proven, but Jogo fights Sukuna in the Shibuya Incident arc and is praised by the King of Curses for his strength.

In the same arc, and members comment that Jogo is stronger than Dagon. However, he is clearly weaker than Mahito as he considers him their leader. Jogo, while very strong, is no match for extremely powerful individuals like Sukuna and .

Jogo has the following powers in Jujutsu Kaisen:

Cursed Energy Reserve

As a special quality cursed spirit, Jogo possesses an incredible amount of cursed energy. His cursed energy is so vast and powerful that non-cursed users can burst into flames in his presence when he activates his cursed technique. Jujutsu sorcerers can classify Jogo as a special quality cursed spirit simply by detecting his cursed energy.

Innate Cursed Technique

Innate Cursed Technique

The exact name of Jogo's innate technique is unknown but it is a technique based on fire and volcano. Using his cursed technique, Jogo can manifest and manipulate powerful flames imbued with cursed energy. The flames are extremely dangerous, even to powerful jujutsu wizards like Nanami, and Naobito Zenin.

In addition to flames, Jogo can also expel heat from his body and create small volcanic eruptions from the environment. Small volcanoes ignite into powerful flames capable of burning everything around them.

Ember Bugs

Ember Insects

A variation of Jogo's innate cursed technique is Ember Insects. With this technique, Jogo summons several cursed insects from the volcano on his head. The insects are quite large in size and have large stingers. When the darts make contact, they make a loud noise before igniting and exploding.

Although this technique does not work against Gojo, thanks to his Infinity it can be quite deadly to others.

Maximum: Meteor

Maximum: Meteor

Besides domain expansion, Maximum: Meteor is Jogo's most powerful tool in his arsenal. In this technique, the cursed spirit manifests a huge and powerful flaming meteor before throwing it towards its target. The resulting meteor explosion is huge and destroys everything around it. The meteor Jogo aims at Sukuna demolishes much of Shibuya.

However, although Maximum: Meteor is very powerful and destructive and can significantly harm even Sukuna, it is not impossible to avoid the attack. Sukuna shows that he can easily dodge the attack, making it completely unnecessary for Jogo to carry it out in the first place. No matter how much damage it does, if it can't hit the target, then it's useless.

Domain amplification

Domain Amplification

Another very effective technique that Jogo is capable of using is domain amplification. This technique is almost like the negative of domain expansion. The role of domain amplification is more of a negation than an amplification.

In Domain Amplification, the user's cursed energy creates a barrier that envelops them. The barrier is capable of neutralizing any cursed techniques it touches, including domain expansion.

This technique is extremely useful against an opponent like Gojo whose Infinity makes it impossible to land a physical blow. With Domain Amplification, Jogo neutralizes Gojo's Infinity to finally deal him a blow.

Domain Expansion: Coffin of Iron Mountain

Domain Expansion: Coffin of the Iron Mountain

For any curse user, there is no weapon more powerful than his . Being a cursed spirit of special quality, Jogo possesses an extraordinarily strong domain. The name of its domain extension is Coffin of the Iron Mountain. With his Domain, Jogo manifests an enclosed space surrounded by a barrier imbued with his innate cursed technique.

The Iron Mountain Coffin takes the shape of the interior of a volcano whose stones and lava Jogo can manipulate as he pleases. The interior of the domain is hot enough to burn any average jujutsu sorcerer and cursed spirit alive. Coupled with the sure effect of domains, this is a deadly combination.

But despite being a very powerful Domain, the Iron Mountain Coffin doesn't stand a chance against the Domains of individuals like Gojo and Sukuna. However, it remains a formidable power.

Jogo vs. Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen

Jogo vs. Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen

The last fight of Jogo's life is against Sukuna during the Shibuya Incident arc. Jogo, who prides himself on being a cursed spirit and believes his species is superior to humans, wants to bring back the king of curses: Ryomen Sukuna. To achieve this, he fed Yuji Itadori ten fingers of Sukuna, causing Sukuna to take control of Yuji's body.

When Sukuna finally emerges, he makes it very clear that he is far above Jogo. During their fight, Jogo uses almost everything in his arsenal except his domain extension, knowing that he has no way of winning against Sukuna in a domain battle. He is mocked by Sukuna who calls him weak.

Sukuna effortlessly counters everything Jogo throws at him, including Maximum: Meteor, and dominates him countless times. And he does all this without even using his own cursed technique. In the end, he ironically uses a cursed, unnamed fire-based technique that takes the form of a flaming arrow that burns Jogo alive.
