Luffy and his Straw Hat crew are popular worldwide, with millions of fans waiting for new manga chapters and new anime episodes. One Piece is one of the "Big Three" anime series, alongside Bleach and Naruto, and in this article, we decided to talk about the amazing characters in this series.

Monkey D. Luffy

Age: 19 Birthday: May 5 Height: 174 cm (5'8½”)

Luffy, also known as "Straw Hat," is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and officially Emperor of the Seas. His greatest dream is to find the legendary treasure, One Piece, and thus become the Pirate King. He ate the Gum-Gum fruit as a child and therefore has a stretchy rubber body. His greatest role model is Shanks, from whom he received his straw hat as a thank you.

Roronoa Zoro

Age: 21 Birthday: November 11 Height: 181 cm (5'11⅝”)

Zoro, also known as the "Pirate Hunter," is a former bounty hunter and the first to pledge allegiance to Luffy. He aims to become the world's greatest swordsman, motivated by an oath to his late rival Kuina, whom he has never defeated in combat. To achieve this goal, he trains extremely hard so that he can defeat the current greatest swordsman, the sea samurai Mihawk "Hawkeye" Dracule.

Age: 20 Birthday: July 3 Height: 170 cm (5'7″)

Nami is the crew's navigator and cartographer, but initially describes herself as a thief specializing in pirates. The reason for this is her agreement with the fish-man Arlong, from whom she wanted to buy back his home village. At first, Nami sees the voyage with the Straw Hats as a partnership of convenience only. But when Luffy defeats Arlong, she eventually joins the Straw Hats.

Usopp

Age: 19 Birthday: April 1st Height: 176 cm (5'9¼”)

Usopp is actually the crew's marksman and weapons specialist, and, before Franky joined the gang, the ship's carpenter. Usopp is often a coward and a liar, but you can always count on him in sticky situations. He hails from the village of Syrop in Eastblue, where he grew up partly alone after his father became a pirate and his mother died of an illness.

Vinsmoke Sanji

Age: 21 Birthday: March 2 Height: 180 cm (5'11”)

Sanji Vinsmoke is the cook on Luffy's ship. He has a weakness for beautiful women and will flirt with any pretty girl, often acting very childishly. Sanji only fights with his feet to spare his hands, which are needed for cooking. He learned his skills from the chef and pirate "Redfoot" Jeff, under whom Sanji was chef of the floating maritime restaurant Baratié.

Tony Tony Chopper

Age: 17 Birthday: December 24 Height: 90 cm (2'11½”)

Chopper is a male reindeer who ate the human-human fruit, becoming a human reindeer. He is the Straw Hats' ship's medic. His current bounty is 100 berries, as he was only considered a pet by the Navy. He is originally from Drumm Island, now Sakura, making him the only member of the Straw Hats born on the Grand Line.

Vivi Nefeltari

Age: 18 Birthday: February 2 Height: 169 cm (5'6½”)

Vivi is the princess of the desert kingdom of Alabasta. She is a very compassionate and sensitive person, but she learned her father's political understanding early on: even as a child, she was able to keep a cool head in tense situations, as demonstrated during the Conference of Kings when she was defeated by King Wapol. She uses a weapon called the Kujacky Slasher.

Nico Robin

Age: 30 Birthday: February 6 Height: 188 cm (6'2″)

Nico Robin is an archaeologist and the fourth-oldest member of the crew. Already a bookworm as a young girl, she eventually ate the Flora Flora fruit, which gave her the ability to grow body parts in all sorts of places around her. When her homeland, Ohara Island in the West Blue, was wiped out by the Navy thanks to the Buster Call, she managed to escape, which shaped her early life from then on.

Cutty "Franky" Flam

Age: 36 Birthday: March 9 Height: 240 cm (7'10½”)

Frankie, actually Cutty Flam, is a cyborg and the ship's carpenter for the Straw Hat Gang after rescuing him and Robin from Enie's hall on Justice Island. He likes to act like a cool guy, but he also starts crying or singing the blues with his guitar when he hears sad stories. One of his characteristics is his performances, where he likes to strike poses that he thinks are cool, but are rather embarrassing to others.

Brook, also known as the "Soul King," is a living skeleton and was a member of the Rumba Pirate Gang, whose gang, the giant whale La Boum Luffy encountered at Cape Twins. His being a living skeleton is due to the Dead Realm Fruit, which allowed his soul to return to his body after his physical death. However, his soul wandered for too long, and his body decayed in the meantime.

Jinbei

Age: 46 Birthday: April 2 Height: 301 cm (9'10½”)

Jinbei is a fishman, a member of the Sun Pirate Gang and later captain of the Fishman Pirate Gang. He accepted the World Government's offer to become one of the Seven Sea Samurai to increase the protection of Fishman Island. However, he later refused the World Government's offer to take part in the battle against Whitebeard (Great Battle of Marineford).

Monkey D. Garp

Age: 78 Birthday: May 2 Height: 287 cm (9'5″)

Monkey D. Garp is a Navy Vice Admiral, Luffy's grandfather, Dragon's father, and the one who officially captured the pirate king Gol D. Roger. He is nicknamed the Hero of the Navy because he defeated the Rocks pirate gang in God Valley 38 years before the Wano Country incident. He also owes his fame in part to Gol D. Roger, since he and Garp had to join forces for this battle, which the Navy and the World Government keep secret.

Sengoku

Age: 79 Birthday: May 9 Height: 278 cm (9'1″)

Sengoku, also known as Buddha, was a Grand Admiral and thus Commander-in-Chief of the Navy until the Battle of Marineford. Like many other officers, he fought for "absolute justice." During the Battle of Marineford, Sengoku personally oversaw the execution of Ace. From there, he also revealed to the Marines and the world that Ace is the son of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger.

Kuzan/Aokiji

Age: 49 Birthday: September 21 Height: 298 cm (9'9″)

Kuzan was a Navy admiral, his nickname "Aokiji" meaning "Blue Pheasant." Calm by nature and possessing the Frozen Fruit, he is able to control ice. He represents the Navy under the motto of sloppy justice. Grand Admiral Sengoku wanted him as his successor, but there was support for Sakazuki (Akainu) within the ranks of the World Government.

Sakazuki/Akainu

Age: 55 Birthday: August 16 Height: 306 cm (10'0½”)

Sakazuki is a Grand Admiral of the Navy who possesses the evil power of the Magma Fruit, allowing him to transform into and control magma. He was first an Admiral in the Navy. His nickname "Akainu" means "Red Dog" and indicates that he is very aggressive and uncompromising towards pirates and other opponents of the World Government. He therefore pursued the two brothers Ace and Luffy, later killing Ace and seriously wounding Luffy.

Borsalino / Kizaru

Age: 58 Birthday: November 23 Height: 302 cm (9'11”)

Borsalino, better known as Kizaru, is one of the three admirals of the Navy. He was first mentioned by Nico Robin during the first encounter with Aokiji. He is the only admiral to retain his position after the timeskip, with Akainu being promoted to Chief Admiral after winning his battle against Aokiji, who left the Navy. His epithet means "Yellow Monkey." He is the main antagonist of the Sabaody Arc. He is one of the main antagonists of the Marineford Arc along with his fellow admirals. He is also an antagonist of Movie Z.

Portgas D. Ace

Age: 20 Birthday: January 1st Height: 185 cm (6'1″)

Portgas D. Ace is Luffy's adoptive brother, three years his senior, and a former commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. He gets his nickname from his devilish power, which he acquired through the Fire Fruit. With this Logia power, Ace himself became fire. Ace has a muscular physique and is also capable of fighting without his Devil Fruit. Like Luffy and Garp, Ace tends to fall asleep during meals and conversations.

Buggy the Clown, also known as Clown Star, is the captain of the Buggy Gang. He ate the Chop-Chop Fruit, which allows him to split his body into any shape up to the thickness of a net. This also protects him from cutting and thrusting weapons. As long as his feet touch the ground, the rest of his body can float. He can even transform into a car with the help of an engine.

Dracula Mihawk

Age: 43 Birthday: March 9 Height: 198 cm (6'6″)

"Hawk-Eye" Mihawk is considered the greatest swordsman in the world. He was the first of the seven samurai encountered by the Straw Hats in the East Blue, where he was pursuing another pirate whose entire fleet he had sunk. When challenged by Zoro, he easily defeated him with just a dagger. His strength is such that he is even able to effortlessly slice through ships with a single swing of his sword.

Don Quixote Doflamingo

Age: 41 Birthday: October 23 Height: 305 cm (10'0″)

Donquixote Doflamingo is a former world aristocrat and the captain of his gang. He ate the Thread Fruit, with which he can create threads. With these threads, he can control people, cut anything like a knife, or connect them to clouds to swing through the air. In keeping with his surname, Doflamingo, he wears a cloak of pink feathers. He refers to his crew members as "family."

Gecko Moria

Age: 50 Birthday: September 6 Height: 692 cm (22'8½”)

Gecko Moria is the captain of the Thriller Bark, the largest ship in the world. Having eaten the Shadow Fruit, he is able to steal the shadows of others and place them inside corpses, causing them to rise as undead. Moria is very lazy. Like Luffy, he has ambitions to become the Pirate King, but due to his laziness, his commanders Perona, Absalom, and Hogback are expected to do it instead.

Barthélemy

Age: 47 Birthday: February 9 Height: 689 cm (22'7″)

Bartholomew Kuma was one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea until their disbandment. He was originally a revolutionary and once king of the kingdom of Solbay, before becoming a vicious and feared pirate. He was a human who agreed to be transformed into a cyborg by Dr. Vegapunk for reasons still unknown. After his transformation into a cyborg, he became a slave of the Celestial Dragons, known as the Invincible Slave.

Trafalgar D. Water law

Age: 26 Birthday: October 6 Height: 191 cm (6'3½”)

Law is the captain of the Heart Pirate Gang and possesses the Op-Op Devil Fruit power. He is nicknamed "Surgeon of Death." This fruit allows him to create a "room" in which he can cut off body parts and move them anywhere without harming or killing them. Within a created room, he is also able to defy gravity, swap people's personalities, or teleport.

Boa Hancock

Age: 31 Birthday: September 2 Height: 191 cm (6'3″)

Boa Hancock is the leader of Amazon Lily, captain of the Kuja Pirates, and is considered the second most beautiful woman in the world after the Mermaid Princess. Also known as the "Pirate Empress" and the "Snake Princess," she has the power to turn anyone who falls in love with her beauty to stone. Hancock has two other sisters, Marigold and Sandersonia.

Hocks

Age: 39 Birthday: March 9 Height: 199 cm (6'6½”)

Shanks is the captain of his own pirate gang, the Redhead Pirates, and the role model for Monkey D. Luffy. He also gave him the Straw Hat. Shanks was once a cabin boy in Gol D. Rogers' gang with Buggy the Clown, where he spent his early years as a pirate. After his captain's execution, he began forming his own gang, which includes Usopp's father, Yasopp. Shanks is a friendly and very calm person who is not averse to drinking and wild parties.

Marshall D. Teach / “Blackbeard”

Age: 40 Birthday: August 3 Height: 344 cm (11'3½”)

Marshall D. Teach, aka Blackbeard, is an admiral of the Blackbeard Gang, a former member of the 2nd Division of the Whitebeard Pirates, and, like Luffy, aims to become the Pirate King. In terms of his actions and especially his values, Blackbeard is often the exact opposite of Luffy.

Edward Newgate / “Whitebeard”

Age: 72 Birthday: April 6 Height: 666 cm (21'10”)

Edward Newgate, aka Whitebeard, was one of the Four Emperors and was considered the most powerful pirate in the world until his death. Due to his excessive drinking and age, he constantly required the care of several nurses and was one of the Gol D. Roger pirates' fiercest opponents. He got his name from his white, crescent-shaped mustache. Before traveling with his own gang, he was a member of the Rocks gang.

Charlotte Linlin / "Big Mom"

Age: 68 Birthday: February 15 Height: 880 cm (28'10½”)

Charlotte Linlin, also known as Big Mom, is one of the Four Emperors, captain of their pirate gang, and a former member of the Rocks Gang. Possessing the Soul Fruit, she is able to transfer people's souls into objects (e.g., plants, candy), which then come to life and are subject to her will. These objects are called buddies. This can also change a person's lifespan at will.

Kaido

Age: 59 Birthday: May 1st Height: 710 cm (23'4″)

Kaidō is the captain of the Beasts pirate gang, a former member of the Rocks gang, and one of the Four Emperors. Considered the strongest being in the world, he ate a Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a dragon or dracomen. Kaidō suffers from mood swings, which are heavily influenced by alcohol.

Arlong

Age: 41 Birthday: May 3 Height: 263 cm (8'7″)

Arlong is a former commander of the Sun Pirates gang and the former captain of the Arlong Gang. He is a fishman, which is why he has a shark nose. He is racist: fish are the pinnacle of evolution and he considers others weak and contemptible, but this did not stop him from recognizing and appreciating Nami's nautical abilities.

Mr. Crocodile / Mr. 0

Age: 46 Birthday: September 5 Height: 253 cm (8'3½”)

Sir Crocodile, formerly known as Mr. 0, is a pirate and the former boss of Baroque Works, who was dismantled by the Straw Hat Gang. He ate the Sand Fruit, a logia-type fruit that allows him to transform into sand, trigger sandstorms, or cause quicksand. He is also able to extract and dry water from all organic matter and living things.

Charlotte Cracker

Age: 45 Birthday: February 28 Height: 307 cm (10'1″)

Charlotte Cracker is the tenth son of Big Mom and the Minister of Cookies. A rather violent, impulsive, and ruthless man, he has a small and handsome physique, although he more often presents himself with his enormous and boxy appearance, granted to him by the power of his Devil Fruit. Cracker has in fact ingested the Bisco-Bisco fruit, which allows him to generate unlimited cookies and use them at will.

Enel

Age: 39 Birthday: May 6 Height: 266 cm (8'9″)

Eneru is an ancient god of Skypeia. He possesses the power of the Thunder Fruit, which allows him to generate lightning and transform into electricity. He also possesses Observation Haki, which allows him to anticipate attacks or read people's minds. He hails from the sky island of Birka, which until now has only been known for producing powerful fighters and was destroyed by Eneru upon his departure.

Charlotte Katakuri

Age: 48 Birthday: November 25 Height: 509 cm (16'8″)

Charlotte Katakuri is the second eldest son and third child of Big Mom. Her observation haki is so developed that she is able to see moments into the future. On Whole Cake Island, she and Luffy engaged in a fierce battle in which she was ultimately defeated.

Rob Lucci

Age: 30 Birthday: June 2 Height: 212 cm (6'11½”)

Rob Lucci is the strongest member of the former CP9, a member of CP0, and one of the bodyguards of the world's aristocrats. He ate Leopard-like cat fruit, which is why he can transform into a leopard man. Like all CP9 agents, he is a master of Formula 6 and, thanks to his diabolical power, can enhance any formula. Lucci is cold-blooded, ruthless, and deadly.

Monkey D. Dragon

Age: 55 Birthday: October 5 Height: 256 cm (8'5″)

Monkey D. Dragon is the father of Luffy and the son of Garp. As the leader of the revolutionaries, he is considered the World Government's most wanted enemy and has thus become a target of attacks and assassinations by the World Government. The left side of his face is adorned with a tattoo. Dragon appears to be able to control the weather. His goal is to overthrow the World Government.

Gol D.Roger

Age: 53 Birthday: December 31 Height: 274 cm (9'0″)

Gol D. Roger was the first pirate king. After hiding the One Piece, he was executed in his hometown of Loguetown 22 years before the plot began. His death heralded the great age of pirates. Officially, Roger was arrested by the Navy, but the truth is that Roger surrendered because he was suffering from a terminal illness and should have died anyway.

Silvers Rayleigh

Age: 78 Birthday: May 13 Height: 188 cm (6'2″)

Silvers Rayleigh, also known as the Dark King, was Gol D. Roger's vice-captain during his lifetime and is currently a sheathing specialist on the Sabaody Archipelago. The Straw Hats are looking for him there to sheath their ship. He is a carefree man who even sells himself into slavery to pay off his debts. He can always free himself thanks to his abilities. Rayleigh met Roger on his old barge.

Uta

Age: 21 Birthday: Unknown Height: Unknown

Uta is a world-renowned diva and a major character in One Piece: Red. She is the daughter of Pirate Emperor Shanks. For some reason, Uta wants Luffy to retire from piracy. Uta possesses excellent singing abilities, which are said to transport the listener to another dimension; it is unknown if this ability is due to a Devil Fruit. Thanks to her singing abilities, she has gained worldwide recognition and fame, becoming a well-known diva and attracting large audiences to her performances.

Yamato

Age: 28 Birthday: November 3 Height: 263 cm (8'8″)

Yamato is Kaido's biological daughter, though she has renounced all ties to her father. She is a huge fan of Kozuki Oden and worships him so much that she wanted to "become Kozuki Oden." She says that she has become a man, and is therefore considered one, which her father and the Beasts crew accept. She became a major ally of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance during the Wano Country Arc.

New

Age: 22 Birthday: March 20 Height: 187 cm (6'1½”)

Sabo is the second-oldest member of the Revolutionary Army behind Monkey D. Dragon. He is the spiritual brother of Monkey D. Luffy and Portgas D. Ace, and the adopted brother of Sterry, the current king of the Goa Kingdom. Sabo was born into a noble family but decided to run away and settle in Gray Terminal. He became Ace and Luffy's brother by making a toast and exchanging their sake cups, also known as the "Brotherhood Cup."

He was believed to have died after being shot by a celestial dragon. He actually lost his memory as a result of the shock, joined the revolutionary army, and only regained his memory ten years later when Ace died.
