One Piece: When Did the Wano Country Arc Start and End (Anime and Manga)

The Wano Country Arc is the thirty-first arc in the series and the fourth arc in the Four Emperors Saga of One Piece, following the Levely Arc. The Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance enacts its plan to recruit the Whitebeard Pirates and free Wano Country from the control of Kaido and his shogun. The Wano Country arc is, by most standards, one of the best—if not the best—One Piece arcs, and in this article, we'll tell you when it started and when it ended.

When did the Wano Country Arc start?
Following the events of the Whole Cake Island Saga, which focused on the Charlotte family, the story of One Piece entered the Wano Country Saga, which began with the Levely Arc. This arc ended with Chapter 908 and Episode 889, after which the story entered the Wano Country Arc.
The Wano Country Arc began in One Piece manga chapter 909, titled "Seppuku," which was first released on July 2, 2018. As for the anime, the arc began in episode 890, titled "Marco! The Guardian of Whitebeard's Last Memory," which premiered on June 23, 2019.
How long is the Wano Country arc?
The arc has lasted for over four years in the manga and over three years in the anime. The Wano Country Arc in the manga began with chapter 909 and ended with chapter 1057, comprising 149 chapters in total. As for the anime series, the Wano Country Arc began with episode 890 and ended with episode 1085 titled "The Final Curtain! Luffy and Momonosuke's Vow," comprising 195 episodes.
How did the Wano Country Arc end in the manga and how did it end in the anime?
In the manga, the Wano Country Arc concluded with the release of Chapter 1057, released on August 22, 2022, with Momonosuke taking the title of the new Shogun of Wano Country. Yamato chooses not to join the Straw Hats yet, choosing to explore Wano first for a broader understanding of the world. Luffy bids Momonosuke farewell, promising to return if Wano faces any danger, expressing his willingness to have them as crew members in the future.
Against the crew's wishes, Luffy takes an unconventional route down a waterfall as they leave Wano. The professor concludes the story by detailing Orochi's disappearance and the Kozuki clan's triumphant return to glory. As for the anime, the Wano Country Arc unofficially ended with episode 1078 and officially ended with episode 1085, and now we're off to Egghead!
