One Piece: Why is Toko so important to Wano Country?

Oda's One Piece series has provided us with a host of interesting characters over the years, some of whom were more important while others were less important. When it comes to Wano County, a very important supporting character was the pink-haired girl Toko, whose story we'll introduce you to and discover why Toko is so important to the series.
Toko is a little orphan who lived in the Flower Capital in Wano, where she was the kamuro of Kozuki Hiyori, who at the time used the alias Komurasaki to get closer to Orochi, whom she wanted to kill. For revenge. And even though she had no powers, she was an important character in this arc, so we can confirm that she survived the events and is now living in the Flower Capital again with Hiyori.
In the rest of this article, to understand why Toko is as important as she is, we decided to tell you her whole story so you know what happened to her. Be careful though, because there are going to be spoilers.
Toko was a supporting character, but she is one of the most well-known characters in the Wano Country Arc.
Toko's parents died, so she was adopted by Yasuie. One day, she ate a piece of a defective Smiley and started laughing. Yasuie realized what had happened and told her to let him eat the rest of her. He then sold her to the Flower Capital so she could earn enough to distribute food to the people of Ebisu who were unable to work.
Toko met Komurasaki, who revealed that she was actually Hiyori, Kozuki Oden's daughter, and she became her kamuro. Toko steals the toad ointment from Usohachi. She then goes to Sangoro's banquet to try her lei soba, but Suke spills her bowl on the floor, making her cry.
After defeating the thug and his companions, the cook offers her another bowl. The little girl thanks him and leaves to join Komurasaki's procession. Before the procession reaches Kurozumi Orochi's castle, she sees three men attack the courtesan and are neutralized by her guard.
Later, she attends the banquet at the castle with Komurasaki, who then sings one of the shogun's favorite songs. While everyone present silently mocks her for believing in Kozuki Toki's prophecy, Toko doesn't hold back and bursts out laughing, infuriating the shogun, who is about to stab her, but Komurasaki slaps him.
Orochi, even more annoyed, transforms and prepares to punish the woman, while O-Robi tries to get Toko to safety but is overtaken by Orochi's court guardians. Brook distracts them by pretending to be a ghost, which knocks the little girl unconscious while the archaeologist attacks them.
When Kyoshiro seemingly mortally wounds Komurasaki, the shogun decides to tear Toko to pieces, blaming what happened on her annoying laughter. At that moment, Nami unleashes Zeus's lightning on Orochi. Later, she is unleashed in the pleasure district. Since the shogun ordered Kamazo to assassinate Toko, Komurasaki kidnaps her, and her assassin pursues them to the Ringo region.
Here, the woman calls for help, and Zoro stands between them. Although Gyukimaru continues to attack him, Zoro agrees to help them both and engages in a duel with the assassin. The monk takes the opportunity to attack, but the pirate dodges him. However, he is pierced by one of Kamazo's two scythes, which he then uses as a third sword, defeating the opponent.
The latter falls to the ground defeated, and Gyukimaru walks away as Zoro falls unconscious, and Hiyori helps him, taking him to a house in the Ringo Cemetery district.
When the swordsman wakes up, he hurries to find Gyukimaru to retrieve his sword, but the woman detains him and, offering him food, Toko reveals that she has stolen oil capable of healing the wound suffered on his shoulder.
Elsewhere, the woman tells the swordsman about the warrior monk and his personal goal: to find his older brother, Kozuki Momonosuke. Toko witnesses Hiyori's happiness when Zoro reveals that he is her friend. Shortly after, Brook stumbles upon the house where the three are staying, sharing the information he has.
Among these, there is also the arrest of Tonoyasu, sentenced to death, so Toko runs to Rasetsu, followed by the others. The four arrive at the prison just in time to witness his execution, so Toko approaches her father's body, and while everyone orders her to leave, Orochi shoots her, but Zoro and Sanji save the child.
The swordsman entrusts the girl to the cook, whom X Drake attacks in animal form. Sanji then gives her to Usopp, who flees. Having escaped the clashes, she boards a boat with Usopp, Brook, and Nico Robin that leaves the Flower Capital, where he falls asleep. A few days later, he reaches Amigasa, where he overhears the allies discussing the plan to reach Onigashima.
The day before the battle, he witnesses the creation of Pedro and Yasuie's tombs. She then attends the bonfire festival with Tengu Yama Hitetsu, who explains that it is a way to honor the dead by lighting a bonfire that can reach the sky; Toko asks if her father sees it as well, and the man claims he is convinced, while being sure that Yasuie will be eager to know what will become of her and her country.
Hitetsu then asks her if she's having fun, and she confirms. When it comes time to prepare the sky lanterns, she hopes that the wish she wrote in hers will come true for her.
During the final moments of the fire festival, Toko asks Hitetsu to confirm that her father was an important man who knew that if they caught him, they would kill him, so she doesn't understand why he got himself caught on purpose. Hitetsu replies that Yasuie gave the country a new opportunity because, without her sacrifice, the light of hope would be extinguished, explaining that she gave her life to give their nation a future in which they could live in peace.
Toko then thinks back to when Yasuie ate the remaining part of the defective Smiley she had bitten off shortly before and decides to change her message on the lantern, writing "thank you, Dad" instead of "I want to see you, Dad" while asking Hitetsu what he was thinking.
The latter is moved and states that it is the greatest honor for a warrior. They then listen to the speech broadcast throughout Wano Country in which Momonosuke introduces himself as the new legitimate shogun. A week later, she sees Luffy and Zoro waking up while she listens to Nami read. She later shares a bath with him, Shinobu, Hiyori, Carrot, Kiku, Tama, Speed, and Komachiyo, noting how warm the water is. She then joins in the festivities.
A few days later, the Straw Hat Pirates, ready to resume their journey, say their goodbyes. Toko then begins playing the shamisen with Hiyori, and she sees Momonosuke arrive, unaware that the pirates have already left the castle. She then points out that they are alone. Shortly after, Hiyori and Toko play the shamisen in the auditorium, where the teacher tells the story of the Battle of Onigashima.
