Mitsuri Kanroji: Love Pillar - Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)

Mitsuri Kanroji (甘露寺蜜璃 Kanroji Mitsuri) is a member of the Demon Slayer Corps and is the Love Pillar . She uses the Breath of Love (恋の呼吸 Koi no Kokyu) which is derived from the Breath of Flames (炎の呼吸 Hono no Kokyu) and her instructor was Shinjuro Rengoku, the former Flame Pillar . Mitsuri is a voluptuous young woman with a kind face. She has pale green eyes with small moles under each eye. Her most prominent feature would be her long hair usually tied in three braids which is pink and fades to neon green halfway through. It is said that her hair turned this color because she ate too much sakuramochi. She wears a modified version of the Demon Slayer outfit in which her chest is left unbuttoned and instead of the hakama, she wears a short pleated skirt and over her uniform, she wears a white haori. Additionally, in a color very similar to her neon green hair, she wears knee-high striped socks that were given to her by Obanai Iguro None.

History

Mitsuri was born with a unique body type with a very special composition. To maintain her body composition, Mitsuri must eat as much as three sumo wrestlers. Added to the fact that she has a very unusual hair color, she feared that no one would want to marry her. She dyed her hair black and forced herself to act weak and not eat as much, to pass herself off as a "normal" girl, which instead caused her stress as she was hiding her true nature. At some point, she stopped hiding and joined the Demon Slayer Corps because she wanted a husband who could be strong enough to protect her. Even though she stopped hiding, she was still embarrassed and was saved when she met Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the 97th leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, who told her that she was fine the way she was and that the people who insulted her were just jealous of her talent. Embracing her own strength, she rose to the rank of Pillar with the motive of having a better chance of meeting stronger people and one day finding her future husband.

Personality

Mitsuri is a very kind and emotional person who has trouble hiding her expression, which can be seen when she bursts out laughing while the other Pillar members hold her back. She is shy but always kind to others, even Nezuko who has transformed into a demon. She loves her family and her five siblings and is shocked to learn that Sanemi Shinazugawa and his brother Genya Shinazugawa do not get along.

Skills and abilities

Master Swordsman: Occupying a pillar position within the Demon Slayer Corps, Mitsuri is a powerful and skilled swordsman. Quite possibly one of the strongest in the entire corps.
Unique Weapon: Mitsuri wields an extremely thin and soft "love sword." She possesses the fastest techniques of the pillars due to the great flexibility of its blade, the softness of its muscles, and the mobility of its joints. Due to the difficulty of wielding her sword, only she can use it. Unlike Shinobu Kocho None Obanai Iguro None Tengen Uzui , and Gyomei Himejima , the weapon Mitsuri uses was created exclusively for her, allowing her to take advantage of her natural gifts.

The hearts are positioned upside down and opposite each other. Both have angel wings on the sides where the two points of the heart meet and appear near her neck, near her collarbone. When she unleashes the power of her mark, Mitsuri's physical speed, strength, and reflexes increase dramatically.

Third Style: Lovely Kitty Shower (参ノ型恋猫しぐれ San no Kata: Koi Neko Shigure): Mitsuri leaps and unleashes a series of ranged arcing attacks in rapid succession.

Fifth Style: Flickering Attachment・Disordered Nails (伍ノ型揺らめく恋情・乱れ爪 Go no Kata: Yurameku Renjo Midarezume): Mitsuri backflips in the air, creating a long series of whip-like attacks, before wrapping her sword around her opponent's neck.
Sixth Style: Kitty Paw Love Breeze (陸ノ型猫足恋風 Roku no Kata: Neko Ashi Koi Kaze): Mitsuri spins upside down and creates a spiral slash with her sword, deflecting incoming attacks.
