All character development and design changes
Speaking of Jin-Woo's transformations throughout the series, he undergoes significant developments after being chosen by the System as a player. I started as an E-Rank Hunter, then gained the honorary status of an S-Rank Hunter through rigorous training.
Additionally, by notably changing Jin-Woo's character design, he could increase his strength and powers. Interestingly, his physical appearance has also been improved. Initially loving the essential hunter clothing then adopting more sophisticated outfits, he looks like the new version of Sung Jin-Woo.

Sun Jin-Woo is no exception in terms of this character's development. However, for now we will look at its first performance.
How He Looks:
During his introductory phase, he appeared as a young man with a short, lean body. He also had long hair, long enough to cover his ears. His facial structure seemed odd, appearing much younger than his actual age. He is often mistaken, with people mistakenly thinking that he is younger than his sister.
Abilities:
Being an E-Rank Hunter at the time, he was often considered weak. The rank is evident in his abilities as a low-ranked hunter. However, he had subpar combat abilities compared to his elders in the hunting community.
Personality:
Despite being a low-ranking hunter, Jin-Woo never let this thing cross his mind and displayed a reluctant and meticulous attitude. In other words, his initial behavior may be characterized by caution and a sense of responsibility, always prioritizing the safety of his team.

As the story progresses, Jin-Woo is given a daily quest called "Preparing to Become Powerful". He needed to do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and a 10-kilometer run to become a formidable fighter. However, after this incident, we witnessed drastic changes within Jin-Woo, both physically and emotionally.
How He Looks:
After completing the initial tasks, Jin-Woo gains more confidence and seems like someone he never was. Jin-Woo's seemingly ordinary eyes now seemed glowing, resembling his exclusive abilities and the spark of change within him.
Abilities :
Jin-Woo gains immense strength as he levels up after completing such complex tasks. Following this event, Jin-Woo's powers and abilities skyrocketed; he grew stronger and eventually became the strongest in the world. Along with this, he could exceed the average speed of an average hunter, especially by developing mana.
Personality :
Jin-Woo developed a different type of aura in addition to his transformation and elevation. He developed a strong sense of responsibility, a protective spirit and a capacity for strategic thinking. Despite such developing behavior, he seemed more mature and indulged in the dark void of loneliness and isolation.

At the end of the series, the old and weak E-Rank Hunter was replaced by an exclusive version of Sung Jin-Woo. He was also named the world's greatest hunter and the new Shadow Monarch. Aside from that, he was so overpowered that he could go back in time and kill all the monarchs and his rivals. In other words, he was capable of gaining divine powers.
How He Looks:
By the end of the series, Jin-Woo no longer seems like he did before; instead, he becomes a handsome, muscular young man. His facial structures change radically: gray eyes, black hair. He is often seen dressed in dark outfits, predominantly black. A significant change in his appearance can be considered the fact that he wears a black glove in one of his hands after killing the monarchs.
Abilities:
Towards the end of Solo Leveling, Sung Jin-Woo becomes extremely strong, gaining god-level powers. He becomes an invincible being in the realm of Solo Leveling, surpassing every character in every aspect.
He can perform various techniques, such as shadow mining, telekinesis, necromancy, memory manipulation, and domain ownership. It is also believed that he is so strong that he can destroy the planet just by his presence alone.
Personality:
Although he possesses celestial powers, Jin-Woo chooses to stay with his family: his wife and child. However, it will be fair to say that somehow his behavior, at the end of the series, remains unchanged.
Although he seems more preserved, he still harbors a corner of tenderness in his heart. In other words, Jin-Woo remains the same caring person towards his loved ones.
CONCLUSION
After closely studying Sung Jin-Woo's character development, he can be considered an ideal protagonist. Leaving aside Solo Leveling's dark themes, its characters have a significant influence on its fans.
How come? The character development is almost apparent for every character, and the depth explored is remarkable and appreciated worldwide. However, considering Sung Jin-Woo's development alone, he undergoes significant transformations throughout the series.
