Did Kiku die in One Piece? What happened to him?
Kikunojo of the Lingering Snow, also known as Kiku, is a samurai from Wano Country and a vassal of the Kozuki family, serving as one of Kozuki Oden's Nine Red Scabbards. She is also the sister of Izou and the daughter of the owner of the Hanayanagi School in Ringo. Kikunojo was born 42 years ago but traveled twenty years into the future, adopting the identity of O-Kiku and working as a waitress at a teahouse in Okobore City.
Kikunojo and her older brother Izou were starving dancers 39 years ago. Their family has been scattered since their father became a criminal. She met Oden and couldn't help but steal his food without permission; Kiku became a samurai in his service after accompanying Oden to Kuri. Later, after meeting the Whitebeard Pirates, Oden and his servants feasted on them.
After the Whitebeard Pirates left Wano Country two weeks later, the servants discovered that Oden, Izo, Inuarashi, and Nekomamushi were missing. After Kozuki Oden's execution, Kin'emon, Kanjuro, Raizo, and O-Kiku headed to Kuri Castle to protect Momonosuke. When they arrived, Kaido's crew had preceded them, and the castle was burning. They found Momonosuke with his mother, Toki, and younger sister, Hiyori.
While trapped inside the castle, Toki, in order to save his son and his servants, sent them 20 years into the future using the power of Toki Toki no Mi. They then found themselves thrown 20 years into a ruined castle in front of their graves as well as those of the Kozuki family. While his companions went in search of allies, O-Kiku remained in Wano Country to spy on the enemy.
Sometime later, she is seen overhearing Big Mom and Tama's conversation about red beans. She has almost arrived at Udon. When Tama, Chopper, Big Mom, Momonosuke, and O-Kiku arrive at Udon, the two children stay outside while Big Mom asks for red bean soup, and Chopper and O-Kiku go straight inside.

Later, O-Kiku and Chopper catch Luffy alienating Big Mom and the rest of the Udon guards; they then fear for him when he is thrown against a wall after a punch from the Yonko. After Queen leaves and takes Big Mom with her, Kiku finally reunites with the newly freed Kawamatsu, Raizo, and, after 20 years without seeing him, Hyogoro, the former yakuza boss.
The four then side with Luffy and Chopper to attack the guards and prisoners of Udon. The overthrow of Udon Prison is successful. Kiku then helps Momonosuke convince the prisoners to join his cause. She is introduced the next day alongside Tama when she convinces Babanuki not to reveal the prison revolt to Queen.
Three or four days later, Kikunojo found himself in Kuri at Amigasa Village with the other six Red Scabbards, along with Shinobu, Hitetsu, Sanji, Robin, and Brook. They prepared to discuss a plan of attack against Kaido. On the eve of the Onigashima raid, Kikunojo mourned with the other Red Scabbards over Kozuki Hiyori's survival; she headed to Tokage Port in Udon to set sail for Onigashima.
Kikunojo and the other 7 Red Scabbards, along with Momonosuke and Shinobu, arrive at Tokage Port in Udon, and to their surprise, they find neither a boat nor a man, so she weeps over everyone's supposed abandonment. She decides with Kinemon, Kanjuro, Raizo, Nekomamushi, Ashura Doji, Kawamatsu, Momonosuke, and Shinobu to set off by boat to Onigashima, defeat Kaido and Orochi, and avenge the death of their master Oden in a desperate plan.
As they row through the choppy waters, Kin'emon considers the possibility of a spy in their ranks, and Kikunojo tells him they should find the spy immediately. Kanjuro then reveals that he is the spy in question, shocking them all, and the Scabbards are then confronted by three Beast Pirate battleships.
The Scabbards then discover that Kanjuro had sent a clone to replace him on their ship, and that the real Kanjuro had stayed behind and captured Momonosuke. However, the Straw Hats, Heart Pirates, and Kid Pirates then arrive to attack the Beast Pirates, and the Heart Pirates take the Scabbards' ship out on their submarine.
Shortly after, the Kyoshiro Gang arrives, and the scabbards are shocked again when Kyoshiro reveals himself to be Denjiro. Denjiro reveals that the altered secret message had actually ordered the alliance to the Habu Port dock, so thousands of samurai have gone there and are now sailing behind him.
Kanjuro then takes Momonosuke into the sky toward Onigashima to warn Orochi, with Momonosuke reassuring the alliance and asking them to continue while he manages to free himself. Kin'emon then joins the samurai and pirates to modify the invasion plan, and the scabbards then plan to land on the back of the island on Law's submarine.
After the Straw Hats defeat the guards at the entrance gates, the Heart Pirates and Scabbards (except Kin'emon and Denjiro) head to the rear of Onigashima. Along the way, they are contacted by Nekomamushi, who has just arrived and plans to meet them on Onigashima. When the submarine gets close enough to shore, Law teleports with the scabbards to the rear entrance of Onigashima, where they are joined by Marco, Nekomamushi, and Izou.
Kikunojo then happily reunites with his brother. After Marco goes to see a shadow he saw at sea, the group comes face to face with Kanjuro and a squad of Kaido pirates. After Kanjuro explains how Momonosuke tried to escape without success and that his execution is scheduled soon, Kikunojo confronts the traitor.
Kikunojo and some of the other Red Scabbards are later seen in tears after defeating Kanjuro, remembering the time when they were still with Oden. Shortly after, when Kaido reunites with his son Yamato, the latter attempts to execute him, at which point all the Red Scabbards head towards the Emperor, disarming him and the King, and launching their powerful combined attack full of rage while shouting "Sunachi!"
Falling to the lower floor, the Red Scabbards manage to inflict damage on Kaido. As the alliance reveals itself and attacks the Beast Pirates, Kaido transforms into a dragon and flies away, the scabbards clinging to him. On the rooftop, they prepare to fight Kaido with the help of the Mink Tribe. Jack and some allies then arrive on the rooftop to aid Kaido. The scabbards watch as the Minks attack the enemy.
After Jack and his forces were incapacitated by the Minks' efforts, the Scabbards began their confrontation with Kaido. Kaido fired lightning bolts at them, but they dodged and each struck him in turn. After recovering, Kaido launched an aerial attack at them, one of which hit Kiku, who then lost her left arm.
Izo and Kin'emon treated his wound, and Kikunojo returned to the fight. Continuing the battle, Kaido began crushing the scabbards and then incapacitating them. Big Mom, Kid, Killer, Zoro, Luffy, and Law later arrived on the rooftop. At Luffy's request, Law teleported the scabbards to a safe location. They were placed in the treasure room on the second floor, where a mysterious figure began to care for them.
Later, the Scabbards, somewhat recovered, regained consciousness, but the mysterious figure had already disappeared. Before leaving the treasure room, they saw someone who appeared to be Oden. Unfortunately, it was Kanjuro who transformed thanks to his powers. The Scabbards, destroyed by the false hope of Oden's reappearance, are then shocked by the sacrifice of Ashura Doji, who lets himself explode to counter Kanjuro.
The Scabbards then see Jack arrive and Inuarashi confronts him to allow them to escape and find Momonosuke to protect him. The Scabbards then find Orochi and Fukurokuju. They easily defeat the Shogun and Raizo stays behind to fight the one who considers himself a rival. The other scabbards continue on their way.
She will then be pierced by Kanjuro, who has taken the form of Oden at the location where Momonosuke, Shinobu, and Kin'emon are. When Usopp arrives at Kiku and Kin'emon's location, he begins to defend them against Kaido's crew members. Usopp then became angry when they suggested that Usopp should take one and leave the other behind, his speech about his will to survive no matter what impressed the two injured. Kikunojo is then carried to safety by Hamlet when Izou, who arrives there, allows them to escape by blocking the arrival of Kaido's crew members. As you can see, Kiku is, at this point, still alive in One Piece and this was her story.
