About Chrollo Lucilfer: Background

The founder and leader of the Phantom Troupe, Chrollo, is considered irreplaceable within the troupe, despite being the seventh-strongest member of the group. He proves to be an intelligent and well-balanced leader, able to unite the troupe despite the members' conflicting personalities.

He is also shown to be cold-blooded and emotionless. He led the genocide against the Kurta clan and will act hostilely towards most. However, despite his cold personality, we also see glimmers of passion and care for the members of his troupe. He believes the troupe is more important than his own life and does what he can to ensure its survival. Chrollo also appears to shed tears at the prophecy of Uvogin's death and feels despair at the deaths of Kortopi and Shalnark. His cold nature is also shown when he befriends Neon Nostrade to abuse his clairvoyance ability and take what he wants from him.

About Chrollo Lucilfer: Abilities

Chrollo is a highly skilled fighter and leader. Despite being the seventh strongest member of the troupe, he is renowned for being one of the strongest in combat. His exceptional fighting skills are evident when he is able to fight Silva and Zeno Zoldyck, two assassins, without taking any damage. Zeno also states that if Chrollo decided to kill him, he wasn't sure he would be the one to win.

Chrollo is a specialist and his talent for Nen is genius-level. A level unheard of at his age and even compared to masters. He is able to maintain a Ten state at all times and can also use Ken. Hatsu is also a technique he commonly uses, and he can use the method in various situations. Chrollo's Nen ability allows him to steal the Nen abilities of others and use them as his own. These stolen abilities are recorded in a book called "The Bandit's Secret," and he can use the skills through this book. The person whose power is stolen can no longer use their ability.

There are four strict conditions, and only when these conditions are met can the abilities be stolen: Chrollo must witness the Nen ability, he must ask and answer questions about Nen to the victim, the victim must touch the handprint on the cover of "Bandit's Secret," and all three conditions must be met within one hour. On several occasions, Chrollo has been able to steal other people's abilities, including abilities such as "Indoor Fish" or "Fun Fun Cloth."

The troupe sold his eyes on the black market, and Kurapika vowed to avenge the deaths of his clan members and arrest the entire troupe. Later, Kurapika manages to capture Chrollo and uses his "Chain of Judgment" to prohibit Chrollo from using his "Bandit's Secret."

Hisoka Morow

Hisoka Morow is a hunter and former member of the Phantom Troupe. He has an unhealthy obsession with fighting and continues to confront the strong or those with the potential to become so. After losing to Chrollo, his obsessive nature takes a turn for the worse, as he vows to kill the members of the Phantom Troupe. When he discovers that Kurapika has sealed Chrollo's Nen, he sets out to find a way to break the seal and, after doing so, goes on a killing spree, which leads to him being hunted by the Phantom Troupe.
