Bulma - Dragon Ball
Bulma is the daughter of Doctor Briefs and his wife. She has a genius-level intellect and, even from a young age, skipped school because she found it boring. Bulma can be caring and will do her best to help and protect her friends, however, she is also very stubborn and will do whatever she must to complete her task. She is one of Son Goku's first friends to meet at the beginning of the Dragon Ball franchise. She is responsible for many of the devices the Z Fighters use throughout their adventures, including the Dragon Radar, time machines, and even repairing Android 16. None
Appearances in Dragon Ball
In Dragon Ball , Bulma made her first appearance in the very first issue of Dragon Ball as a young girl driving a car in search of the Dragon Balls. She is searching for the Dragon Balls in order to wish for the perfect boyfriend. When she meets Goku , he thought her car was a monster and tried to defeat him with his Power Pole. Bulma befriends the little Goku and he shows her the Four-Star Dragon Ball, which is a memento from his grandfather ( Grandpa Gohan ). She persuades him to come with her and, when they retrieve the other Dragon Balls, hopes to take the Four-Star Dragon Ball from him and use it before he notices. The two are attacked by the shapeshifter Oolong . He is easily defeated by Goku and joins the team. After this, Yamcha attacks and seems to have the upper hand but is weak at the sight of women and is knocked unconscious when he sees Bulma. She is later turned into a carrot by Boss Rabbit, forcing Yamcha to join the fight and save her. At one point, after saving Turtle and taking him to the beach, Bulma, Goku, and Oolong wait for Turtle to return with Master Roshi . The night before, however, the naive and protected Goku takes off her underwear because he didn't understand the difference between a man and a woman. Afterward, not realizing what Goku had done, she agrees to show Roshi her underwear in exchange for the Three-Star Dragon Ball. Later, when Yamcha fights an Invisible Man, she is brought to the battlefield with Roshi and bares her chest to cover the Invisible Man with blood from Roshi's nose. Piccolo, the Evil King, is defeated and Goku wins against Piccolo Jr. at the World Martial Arts Tournament, and she moves in with Yamcha.
Appearances in Dragon Ball Z
In Dragon Ball Z , Bulma now lives at Capsule Corporation with her parents and Yamcha. The two still hang out occasionally. Bulma is distraught when she learns of Yamcha's death during the fight against the Saibamen. She travels to Namek with Gohan and Krillin to retrieve the Dragon Balls and welcome back everyone killed by the Saiyan attack on Earth, including her beloved Yamcha. She finds herself in all sorts of perilous situations. For example, Captain Ginyu switches bodies with a Namekian frog during his fight with Goku and Vegeta and meets Bulma. She constructs a device that allows him to speak, unknowingly allowing him to use his body-switching attack on her. However, she is thrown in front of his body-switching attack by Gohan and reverts to her original body. Bulma is quick to fall for handsome guys, and Zarbon is no exception. On Namek, she was afraid of Vegeta and disliked his cruel and aggressive nature, but after being sent back to Earth, her feelings gradually changed and they ended up living together and having a son named Trunks . During the Android Saga, she helps by creating a deactivation switch (which Krillin breaks) and repairing Android 16. Repairing Android 16, while a good thing, also proved to be quite unfortunate, as it removed his self-destruct bomb that he planned to use against Perfect Cell , ultimately resulting in 16's death. She is killed along with everyone else during the battle against Majin Buu but is resurrected with the Dragon Balls.
Appearances in Dragon Ball Super
In Dragon Ball Super , during his birthday party, Beerus decides to come in search of the Super Saiyan God. She is initially indifferent to Beerus and Whis's presence but becomes irritated by the commotion and ends up slapping Beerus. Beerus then slaps her back, which triggers Vegeta's rage mode. When Trunks comes to warm up Goku Black's Z Fighters, she designs and builds another time machine for Goku and Vegeta to go help Trunks in the future timeline. She promises to pay 100 million Zeni to all the participants from Universe 7 if they win.
Appearances in Dragon Ball GT
In Dragon Ball GT , Bulma builds the spaceship that the team uses to gather the Black Star Dragon Balls. Bulma, after being possessed by Baby, uses the Super Blutz Wave Generator to help Baby achieve Great Ape form. After being freed from Baby's control, she later uses the Super Blutz Wave Generator to push Vegeta into his Great Ape form, and thus Super Saiyan 4 , during the final battle with Omega Shenron . She watches Goku defeat Omega Shenron. After the battle is over, she recalls her first encounter with Goku as a teenager and wonders how much she will miss him when he is no longer around.
