Who will Luffy end up with in One Piece? (And who does he end up with in the manga)

The One Piece saga takes fans through a ton of adventures but rarely features romance. However, this hasn't stopped curiosity, and fans are eager to find out who Luffy will end up with, or if he will end up with anyone in the manga.
Luffy is very likely to end up with Boa Hancock, as she has made it clear that she wants to be with him and he has shown that he cares for her a lot. However, Luffy has a strong friendship with Nami and has reacted to her physical appearance on several occasions, so many fans still believe that Luffy could end up with Nami.
While fans never get a clear idea of Luffy's main romantic interest throughout the story, there are some pieces of evidence that could point to the most likely suitor. Stick around to find out Luffy's potential love interests in One Piece, as well as who Luffy is most likely to end up with in the future.
Who does Luffy end up with in the manga?
Monkey D. Luffy is considered one of the most popular anime characters of all time by die-hard One Piece fans. But there's little evidence that Luffy is romantically attracted to anything other than food and adventure, to the point that many One Piece fans still debate whether Luffy is gay, straight, or asexual.

Luffy is far more interested in embarking on whatever adventures lie ahead for him and the Straw Hat Pirates—with the ultimate goal of finding One Piece, of course. As a result, he has no interest in developing romantic interests or relationships with anyone.
He has developed strong relationships with many characters in One Piece, but he hasn't really shown any romantic attraction to anyone in particular. At the time of writing, he hasn't been involved with anyone in the One Piece manga, remaining focused on being the Pirate King and exploring the world.
Who will Luffy end up with in One Piece?
Although Luffy hasn't entered into a romantic relationship in the One Piece manga, it's still possible that Luffy could develop a love interest later on. Below are all of Luffy's potential suitors in One Piece, as well as those he's most likely to end up with.
You live
Vivi is the princess of the Alabasta Kingdom, a former member of the Straw Hat Pirates, and a member of the Nefertari family. Luffy and Vivi develop a very close relationship over time, but their relationship has been shown to be platonic.

They actually started out as enemies, but the antagonistic tension between them faded after Vivi discovered Luffy's attitude. She is often surprised by his laid-back and somewhat reckless outlook on life, and they develop a strong friendship based on mutual respect and trust.
Vivi is extremely grateful to Luffy, while Luffy shows that he cares for her in many ways. While there are moments that can be considered romantic tension, the chances of Luffy and Vivi ending up together are very slim.
Robin
Robin is the sixth member of the crew and gets along very well with Luffy. Robin is grateful to Luffy for saving her life on several occasions, and she was struggling to find her place in the world until she met Luffy and joined his crew.

Luffy cares a lot for Robin and never tolerates anyone threatening or hurting her. But it seems like Luffy and Robin have a familial relationship, which means there's probably no chance of Luffy and Robin ending up together.
We
Luffy and Nami are really close, to the point that many fans wonder if Nami likes Luffy. Luffy and Nami don't seem interested in each other romantically and sometimes clash, but they have a super admirable, trusting, and strong relationship that could be bordering on something more.

He shows more interest in Nami throughout One Piece's story than in the others, and even states that he doesn't want to sail without her. But this could also be due to the fact that he really likes her as a navigator.
Luffy also deeply trusts Nami, as she is one of the few people he trusts with his treasure, the "Straw Hat Pirates." They also have similar life goals, as Nami wants to draw a map of the entire world, while Luffy wants to be the Pirate King and explore the world.

A main point of interest is how Luffy reacts to seeing Nami's body. This was also seen when she was impersonated, and he sometimes gets nosebleeds when seeing Nami in certain settings.

Their interactions may also indicate a very strong friendship. It has also been stated that Luffy may have only reacted to Nami's body by copying Usopp's behavior – although this is still up for debate.
However, many fans still believe that Luffy and Nami could develop a romantic relationship. The chances of Luffy and Nami ending up together are still high considering how much he cares about her—and the two are often featured together in official One Piece artwork.
Boa Hancock
Boa Hancock is the Pirate Empress, and she initially took an antagonistic approach to Luffy. However, she noticed his innocent and selfless nature, appreciating that Luffy never judged her even after discovering that she was a slave in the past.
She begins to develop strong romantic feelings for Luffy, and being with Luffy changes her personality to the point where she turns against the World Government. Hancock never tries to hide the fact that she wants to be with Luffy, openly professing her love and desire to marry him.

She tries to do many extra things for him, such as learning to cook after understanding his deep love for food. She has trouble looking Luffy in the eyes and tends to blush when Luffy is around her.
Oda apparently stated that the focus was on friendship and that none of the Straw Hat Pirates would develop romantic relationships—which would potentially make Boa, captain of the Kuja Pirates and female warlord of the sea, much more likely. Hancock defends Luffy against Smoker and Pacifistas, and she gets angry at anyone who tries to hurt Luffy.

Hancock dreams about Luffy in romantic moments, as seen below thanks to the Love Interest Wiki. She dreams about marrying him and what things could be like if they ended up together—this could be mere fantasy, but it could also serve as foreshadowing.

But it's unclear if Luffy has romantic feelings for Hancock, and he doesn't react much when he sees Hancock undressed. But it's very possible that he sees her for more than just her physical appearance, and he genuinely cares about her.

Although he rejects her proposal, they are quite close. Many One Piece fans believe that the Pirate King and Pirate Empress could be Luffy's perfect match, and there are many ways they could adapt to each other in the future.

Unlike others, Hancock can explore the seas while fighting alongside Luffy, in addition to happily pursuing her passion for food. It's quite possible that Luffy will pursue Boa once he matures and achieves his main goal.
Many One Piece fans still expect Nami and Luffy to develop a romantic relationship, even though it seems like they have a sisterly relationship. Boa Hancock is still the most likely, as the Pirate King paired with the Pirate Empress would make for the ultimate anime couple ship of all time.
