Amane Kanata, like many other VTubers managed by Hololive, hosts a wide variety of content on her YouTube channel. While this includes singing and chatting streams, Kanata can most often be seen streaming video games.

Story of Amane Kanata

Although Kanata's original YouTube debut was on December 27, 2019, her channel had already reached 10,000 subscribers the day before. Her channel was then officially monetized on February 9, 2020. On July 5, Kanata reached 300,000 subscribers in the same stream where she revealed her 3D model for the first time. On September 27, Kanata participated in her first live concert, which was the first entry in the "Hololive Virtual LIVE in VARK: Cinderella Switch" series. A few months later, in late December, Kanata appeared on both days of Hololive's second large-scale concert, "Hololive 2nd fes. Beyond the Stage." On the first day of 2021, she revealed her New Year's outfit along with the other members of Generation 4 and 5. As of April 2021, Kanata's channel has over 750,000 subscribers and is expected to reach 800,000 in the near future.

Physical description of Amane Kanata

Amane Kanata is a short angel girl with short silver hair and blue and purple eyes. Her main outfit is a school uniform with a yellow "Student Council" armband pinned to it, indicating that she is a member of the Angelic Kingdom Institution's student council. The uniform itself is primarily white and blue, accented with black and gold. A large blue bow decorates the uniform's chest, while a large black collar covers part of Kanata's chin. The uniform's jacket also has particularly wide cuffs. Kanata also has a pair of angel wings on her shoulders and wears a star-shaped halo on the side of her head.

On New Year's Day 2021, Kanata unveiled a new outfit to celebrate the holiday. This outfit consists of a short, light blue kimono-style dress lined with a layer of ruffled black fabric along the bottom. The dress is also tied with a large blue, pink, and black obi, decorated with a large blue bow and a miniature version of Kanata's halo. The white sleeves of this outfit are detached from the main outfit and feature alternating blue and pink accents. This New Year's outfit also includes a pair of hamster ears that Kanata can add or remove.

Personality of Amane Kanata

Amane Kanata is generally known for her incredible positive energy, kind nature, and gentle voice. Sometimes, Kanata's kindness can almost become a flaw, as it can make her appear gullible and naive. No matter what happens to Kanata and those around her, she is always able to keep everyone's spirits up. In addition to her kind nature, Kanata also has a reputation for being a brat, especially after creating all of her first documents in Microsoft PowerPoint. This eventually led to Kanata earning the nickname "PPT" (PowerPoint Tenshi, where tenshi is the Japanese word for angel). Many members have also mentioned that Kanata has incredibly strong grip strength and is often jokingly compared to a gorilla, similar to how Subaru Oozora is compared to a duck. Oddly enough, despite her "pure" and sometimes shy nature, she is best friends with noisy and rowdy ducks. Kiryu Coco and currently lives with her and Suisei from Hoshimachi None

Although Undertale exploded in popularity after its release in 2015, many Hololive members began playing the game around early 2021. Kanata herself began her playthrough of Undertale on February 17, 2021. While many other members struggled to defeat the final boss of the game's "Genocide" route, Kanata's struggles were particularly notable. Over the course of four streams that took place between February 25 and 28, Kanata continued to attempt to defeat this boss until she won, resulting in over thirty hours of gameplay and nearly 350 kills.

Umamusume: Nice Derby

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is a mobile gacha game that has recently gained a lot of popularity among Hololive members like Omaru None's Polka, Uruha Rushia , and Sakura Miko. While gacha streams where members are usually more popular among viewers, Kanata also often streams herself training some of her favorite characters and playing various other parts of the game that other members might prefer to do off-stream.
