A Look at Lancer Figures - Fate

A look at Lancer (Fate) figures

When asked who will win a battle, a Lancer-class Servant or a Saber-class Servant, fans will usually say that the Saber Servant will. This is because the rules of the Nasuverse originally dictated that Sabers were the top-tier warriors in a Holy Grail War, and Lancers were somewhere below. But based on what we've seen in Fate media like Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Apocrypha , we think this statement is a bit inaccurate. On several occasions, the Lancer Cu Chulainn proves he can go toe-to-toe with Saber Artoria Pendragon and end a fight in a draw. Likewise, the Lancer of Red, Karna, proves he's a match for Saber of Black, Siegfried. Lancers are tough and versatile. They tend to be extremely agile with great reach in close-quarters combat. We believe they can emerge victorious in a Holy Grail War, it just depends on how the scenario is written. That's why we salute the Lancers, and we're happy to highlight some of them here in this article about collectible figures found on the TOM Store! Usually, in these articles, we choose three figures that catch our eye the most and go over what we like about them. But this time, we were overwhelmed by the variety of Lancer Servants that were celebrated as great figures to display on your shelf. So, we're going to talk about SIX different figures. Enough introduction, let's dive right into these treats!

Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Cu Chulainn 1/8 Scale Figure
We'd be remiss not to put the original Lancer-class Servant, Cu Chulainn, at the top of our list. If you've been following the Fate franchise since the beginning, this character might be the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word Lancer. This Lancer figure comes from Fate/Grand Order , and his look seems a bit updated from how we first saw him back in 2005. But as usual, Cu Chulainn's outfit is sleek and form-fitting, allowing him to jump, flip, and pull all sorts of tricks against his opponent. Along with Gae Bolg, he's one lean, mean fighting machine!

Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Altria Pendragon 1/8 Scale Figure
Next up, we have this gorgeous figure of Altria (Artoria) Pendragon, the most buxom Pendragon character! We're pretty sure this is the only Fate figure on the market that comes with a full-length horse as an accessory! And it looks marvelous. King Arthur has never looked more noble. It's as if the armor Artoria Pendragon usually wears as Saber has been transferred to her Lancer-class steed! And the power emanating from Artoria's spear makes it a work of art. And a super-sized one, at that.

Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Scathach 3rd Stage Ascension 1/7 Scale Figure
This Scathach figure is to die for. And by that, we mean she'll kill you three times before you hit the ground. With not one, but TWO spears. Just kidding. But honestly, she's a gorgeous figure. Dozens of reviews on the TOM Shop all agree on how stunning she is, from the quality of her sculpt to the paint job. Her figure is super sexy, and the expression on her face really brings the drama of the series to life. She's unfortunately sold out these days, so hopefully we'll get a reissue of her in the future.

Nendoroid Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Karna
Karna usually looks very intimidating. He has a menacing look to his character design. So we're happy to see a departure from that with this adorable Nendoroid version of Lancer of Red! But even as a Nendoroid, his hair and eyes are still impressive. Little accessories really make this figure shine, like the sunset earrings and the magical effect on his spear. But the magical eye blast is definitely our favorite part!

Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Ereshkigal 1/7 Scale Figure
Introducing the blonde Mesopotamian goddess who stole our hearts (sorry, Ishtar), Ereshkigal! The wonderfully gothic features of Ereshkigal's outfit come to life when you see her in three dimensions. Her spear, Meslamtaea, is expertly crafted to have an otherworldly look. And the shape of her cape and hair help demonstrate the raw power emanating from this Lancer-class handmaid. At 26 cm tall, she's a very imposing figure and a wonderful addition for Destiny figure collectors to add to their display!

Fate/Grand Order Lancer/Kiyohime 1/7 Scale Figure
This is the only Kiyohime figure we could find registered on the TOM store, and it's unfortunately sold out. But she was so beautiful that we have to pay tribute to her by including her in this list. Kiyohime is created here as part kimono, part bikini, and all the sexy parts! With Kiyohime's long turquoise hair in twin pigtails, her character design reminds us of a certain vocal idol we all know and love. And just like with the other Lancers, she wields a badass weapon, both complex and breathtaking to behold.
