Tokyo Revengers Season 3 is currently airing in Fall 2023. This season adapts the Tenjiku arc where Toman faces a new threat in the form of Izana Kurokawa and his Tenjiku gang. This is the longest arc of the series and is expected to span the entire 12 episodes of the third season. Even though he is the protagonist of the story, it eventually becomes clear that the entire story of Tokyo Revengers is centered around Manjiro Sano, better known as Mikey. He is the charismatic leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang and possesses incredible power that makes him the .

In Tenjiku Arc, Mikey experiences immeasurable shock and pain when his younger half-sister Emma is killed. Already struggling with depression and creeping darkness, his mental state crumbles even further when faced with Izana Kurokawa and their respective relationships with Shinichiro.

However, Mikey also proves to be mentally stronger than he was before and helps Izana find closure within himself.


2) Izana Kurokawa

The main antagonist of Tokyo Revengers Season 3 is also one of the most popular characters in Tenjiku Arc. He is Emma's older half-brother and was abandoned by their mother as a child. Devoid of parental love and family ties, Izana found care and empathy when he met Shinichiro Sano as a teenager.

Shinichiro met Izana regularly and treated him like his own brother. However, when the older man revealed that he had created the Black Dragons for Mikey, his real brother, Izana was overcome with jealousy. In Tenjiku Arc, Draken suffers a tragic loss. His love for Emma is finally revealed in this arc. This is the first time he's been more broken than Mikey and it shows how horribly hurt he is by the whole ordeal.

Since the beginning of the story, one character who has been highlighted as the main antagonist of the story is Tetta Kisaki. He's a crafty guy whose goal seems to have been to work his way inside Toman and work his way up to get close to Mikey and control him.

Kisaki is the instigator of many important events in the story, the most important being responsible for Hina's death in the future. In Tenjiku Arc, Takemichi begins to doubt whether he is the second time traveler. Kisaki's past and motivation as well as his true potential are revealed in this arc.

The Tokyo Revengers have many beautiful friendships that form the core of their respective characters. Two of the most sincere friendships in the series have Chifuyu Mafuno as a common factor. His loyalty to Baji and his friendship with Takemichi make him one of the best characters not only in Tenjiku Arc but in the entire Tokyo Revengers series in general.

Chifuyu is the only second person to know of Takemichi's abilities. He strongly supports his friend and fights alongside him during Toman's fight against Tenjiku.


7) Souya Kawata

Angry, whose real name is Souya Kawata, is the vice-captain of the Fourth Division of the Tokyo Manji Gang, with his older twin Smiley serving as the captain. He gets his nickname from the always angry look he wears despite his gentle and caring personality.

Among the two of them, Smiley always seems to be the strongest, as evidenced by his position as division captain. However, Angry shows his true worth in Tenjiku Arc when he starts crying and unleashes his true strength, which quickly makes him one of the strongest characters in Tokyo Revengers. He lives up to his nicknames of the Weeping Blue Ogre and Black Horse of Toman and becomes one of the most popular characters in Tenjiku Arc.


8) Hajime Kokonoi

No gang can operate without money and no one knows money better than Hajime Kokonoi aka Koko. He was introduced in the story as a member of the Tokyo Manji Gang in the future. He was the captain of the 10th generation Black Dragon elite guard before its disbandment and he joined Toman alongside his best friend Inupi.

In Tenjiku Arc, Koko is forced to be Tenjiku's treasurer and he later chooses to accept it, leaving Inupi behind for the first time. This arc also reveals his tragic past and the reason for his obsession with money. His bond with Inupi is also tested for the first time and through this he becomes one of the best characters in Tenjiku Arc.


9) Emma Sano

Tokyo Revengers has a predominantly male cast of characters with only a handful of significant characters. Emma Sano is one of them who is the weak point of Mikey and Draken. She is the sister-in-law of Shinichiro, Mikey and Izana. Because she was separated from Izana at a young age, she barely remembers him.

It has been known from the beginning that Emma really likes Mikey and has deep romantic feelings for Draken. Even though Draken is impassive towards her feelings, he also loves her in return. In Tenjiku Arc, Emma meets her end but her death proves to be the key turning point for Mikey and Draken's characters.


10) Kakuchō

At the beginning of the Tenjiku Arc, when Kakucho is first introduced, he appears to be nothing more than Izana's loyal lackey.

But that soon changes when he shows the true extent of his loyalty to Izana. The friendship and bond between the two of them is one of the best things about this arc.

Kakucho is Takemichi's childhood friend who lost his parents and disfigured his face in a tragic accident. He met Izana at the orphanage and when he lost interest in living, it was Izana who stopped him and convinced him to continue living as Izana's "servant".

Since then, his loyalty to Izana has been unwavering, even to the point of agreeing to die for the man.
