Top 15 Strongest Villains in Jujutsu Kaisen, So Far (Manga 2024)
Antagonists are one of the most important parts of certain genres of stories, especially in shounen manga. It takes both a great protagonist and a great antagonist for a shounen manga to become memorable. A good example of this would be Jujutsu Kaisen, one of the most popular shounen manga of recent times. Today we are going to discuss the villains of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen saw success last year like never before. The popularity of the series is higher than ever, with the manga and anime sparking groundbreaking responses. This is largely due to his antagonists. From the start, Jujutsu Kaisen has given us exceptional villains who keep the heroes and viewers in suspense.
In Jump Festa 2023, Gege Akutami commented that it was his last Jump Festa while Jujutsu Kaisen was still ongoing, hinting that the manga would end this year. As the end draws near, we've decided to rank the most powerful Jujutsu Kaisen villain we've seen so far.
For this list, we're ignoring characters who initially had antagonistic roles but later became allies of our heroes. So, you won't find characters like Choso, or in this list. Here now are the top 15 strongest villains in Jujutsu Kaisen:

15) Eso and Kechizu
We'll start this ranking of the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen villains with two characters who could have become more than villains later in the story if they had survived. Eso and Kechizu are two Cursed Womb: Death Paintings and Choso's younger brothers. They fight and at Yasohachi Bridge.
Eso and Kechizu's innate cursed techniques are the Rot and Decay Technique. The rot technique gives them festering blood which they can spray onto their targets and cause poisoning and decay. With Decay, they can administer a deadly poison to their targets that kills in seconds on contact.
14) Kurourushi
Next comes Kurourushi, a special quality cursed spirit born from people's hatred of cockroaches. He participates in the fight and fights twice, overwhelming him at one point during their first fight.
Kurourushi's CT is Cockroach Manipulation which allows him to summon huge man-eating cockroaches. He has an unnamed name and uses a cursed tool named The Festering Life Sword which allows him to inject his opponents with cockroach eggs.
13) Naoya Zenine
One of the few jujutsu wizards to make a name for himself, Naoya Zenin is one of the most powerful villains in Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a Grade 1 special wizard and the son of Naobito Zenin, leader of the . Naoya is also the leader of Hei, the family's elite assassin group.
He inherited his father's CT, Projection Sorcerery. After being killed, he is reborn as a cursed spirit, becoming stronger than ever. As a curse, he has a domain extension named Time Cell Moon Palace.
12) Hanami
Born from humans' natural fear of earthly disasters, Hanami is an unregistered special quality cursed spirit who is allied with the group of . They invade Tokyo Jujutsu High during a goodwill event with Kyoto Jujutsu High and later fight in Shibuya.
As a special quality curse, Hanami is very powerful. Their CT allows them to use the flora around them for offensive and defensive purposes. Their domain expansion is never revealed in the story but is officially named the Ceremonial Sea of Light.
11) Dagon
The quietest and most passive member of Kenjaku's group is Dagon. As an unregistered special quality cursed spirit, Dagon's power is great. Initially, he exists as a cursed womb and later emerges in his true form in Shibuya.
Dagon has a water-based CT that produces massive water waves and allows him to summon numerous fish-like Shikigami. Its domain extension is called Horizon of the Captivating Skandha. Dagon fights Naobito and easily overwhelms them.
10) Can be done
The series' most villainous antagonist has also earned a place in this list of the most powerful Jujutsu Kaisen villains. is an unregistered special quality cursed spirit who is part of Kenjaku's team.
It's a fairly young curse and he's still learning his own power. But its potential is great. In a short time, he mastered his CT: Idle Transfiguration, his Domain Expansion: Self-Embodiment of Perfection, and even Black Flash.
9) Game
The second person who fights Gojo in the story and provides the opportunity to see the Six Eyes for the first time is . He is an unregistered special quality cursed spirit who joined forces with Kenjaku to bring about an era of curses.
Jogo has a powerful CT which allows him to control fire and lava. His domain expansion and ultimate technique are called Coffin of the Iron Mountain and Maximum: Meteor respectively. Jogo was recognized as strong by himself.
8) Takako Uro
Kenjaku brings back many former curse users when he starts the Culling Game and one of them is Takako Uro. She was once the leader of a group of assassins made up of powerful curse users.
Takako's CT is Sky Manipulation, a unique technique that allows her to manipulate and warp space as she pleases. She also has a domain expansion and is about to get into a three-way domain battle with Yuta and Ishigori when they are interrupted.
7) Ryu Ishigori
Another former curse user incarnate, Ryu Ishigori, is also one of the most powerful villains in Jujutsu Kaisen. He fought a three-way battle against Yuta and Takako Uro, although their fight was incomplete.
Ishigori's CT, Energy Discharge, allows him to release powerful blasts of cursed energy from his pompadour. It also has a domain extension but this is never revealed.
6) Yorozu
Yorozu is a former curse user who incarnates inside Tsumiki Fushiguro when Kenjaku initiates the Culling Game. She has known Sukuna in the past and is obsessed with him, believing herself to be the only one capable of loving him.
Her CT is Construction which allows her to manipulate her cursed energy to create everything she knows. Yorozu's domain expansion is called Threefold Affliction and uses the highly destructive True Spheres to sure effect.
5) Uraume
Sukuna's human servant is also his most devoted disciple and one of the most powerful villains in Jujutsu Kaisen. served Sukuna a thousand years ago and was chosen for his skill in cooking human meat. Currently, they join Kenjaku to return Sukuna to his original state.
Uraume's CT is Ice Formation which allows them to generate and manipulate ice. They are strong enough to take on Yuji, Choso and the Kyoto students. Their recent fight against them is also a testament to their power.
4) Suguru Geto
Jujutsu Kaisen not only has very powerful antagonists but also very well written antagonists. A good example of this is the curse user who attacked Tokyo Jujutsu High and started the Hundred Demon Night Parade in Kyoto and Shinjuku.
Geto was a classmate of Gojo and Ieiri in the past and defected during his third year. He then joined a cult as its leader with the intention of killing all ordinary humans in Japan. Geto is one of the four special level wizards, thanks to his manipulation of the cursed spirit.
3) Toji Fushiguro
In this list full of curse users and cursed spirits, he is unique in that he is neither. Born into the Zenin family, but without cursed energy, which made him unable to see curses, Toji later obtained the Celestial Restraint which grants him superhuman physical prowess.
Armed with his extraordinary physique, cursed weapons, and combat acumen, Toji is a force to be reckoned with. He fought and defeated Gojo and Geto in their youth and even managed to almost kill Gojo before the boy reanimated. Toji also defeated Dagon, a special quality cursed spirit, very easily.
2) Kenjaku
Jujutsu Kaisen's darkest character is also one of the series' most powerful villains. Kenjaku is a former curse user who now lives a parasitic life possessing the corpses of other jujutsu wizards. Currently, he possesses Suguru Geto's body.
Kenjaku's CT not only allows him to inhabit a corpse but also gives him access to his ship's memories and CT. In addition, it does not lose CT even if it no longer inhabits the body. His current favorite CT is Geto's Cursed Spirit Manipulation.
1) Ryomen Sukuna
The strongest villain in Jujutsu Kaisen is the one everyone has been waiting for: the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. Sukuna is not only the most powerful villain in the series but also the first to be introduced. After sharing his body with Yuji and respectively, Sukuna finally regained his own body and his power almost returned to its original level.
For the longest time, there was a debate over who was stronger between Sukuna and Gojo. The answer is clear now, with Sukuna emerging as the strongest character in the series. While he was already extremely strong, after regaining his body, he reached another level that no one can hope to achieve.
