Hiori is the definition of a balanced, consistent and cool player. He is also very polite towards other players and has a high intellectual level.
His games seem simple, but they are very difficult to execute as other players say. Hiori also continues to think about her games, so she can continue to do something better every time.
Even if currently, he does not have good statistics to be selected among the regulars of Basterd Munchen. He wasn't even a substitute for the three games BM has played so far.
Yo Hiori's backstory in Blue Lock
Only in recent chapters have we learned about Yo Hiori's backstory in Blue Lock. Both of his parents were ranked second and won silver medals in their respective games, but never first place.
So, they raised Hiori to become the best in the world. His father took care of his training and his mother took care of his food. For this he was subjected to very intense and hard training.
Even though Hiori wanted to spend more time with his friends, he continued playing soccer because his parents were happy. But one day both her parents have a big argument that Hiori is not improving much.
They also say they will divorce if Hiori doesn't become world number one. Hiori listens to all this and stumbles down the steps on the way back.
At that moment, Hiori understood that his parents didn't even care about him, but only about his talents. But Hiori continued to play soccer so her family could be together.
He had no real purpose in life and only wanted to fulfill his parents' wishes. One day, he meets someone who praises him for his skills and abilities but tells him that Hiori has no passion for football.
Hiori then talks about his parents, but Karasu says he needs to find something he likes in soccer. He also says that Hiori will only be able to change if he starts with himself.
But Hori is unable to understand the meaning of Karasu's words and continues to live like this. That was only until he received a recruiting letter for Blue Lock.
He thought Blue Lock would be the perfect place to get away. He didn't want to live in his house anymore, and that was the only reason Yo Hiori joined Blue Lock.
Current statistics
As of now, we don't know his full stats. So far he hasn't featured in any of BM's matches and wasn't even a substitute. So we don't have his evaluation notes at this time.
Since he didn't play, he also has no bidding value. Only 20 Blue Lock players had received the offer, and he was not present, due to his absence from the matches.
We only know that he was ranked 27th after . His talent and abilities were recognized by , and he was retained as a replacement.
But you could argue that his review score was lower than 81, which is why Noa might not have selected him. Among all BM players, Raichi has the lowest score of 81 out of all 11 players.
