He is responsible for various inventions used by the Marines, such as sea stones and Pacifistas, as well as co-discoverer of the Lineage Factory with Vinsmoke Judge.

Vegapunk also studies the origin and nature of the mysterious Devil Fruits. His inventions are said to be at least 500 years ahead of current global technology, making him an invaluable asset to the world government.

One Piece readers find numerous mentions of the scientist throughout the series by different characters. We first get a glimpse of Dr. Vegapunk in chapter 684, "Don't Do It, Vegapunk", in the Punk Hazard arc, but he remained a mystery to us until recent chapters.

Now that we're in the Egghead Arc, we get a glimpse into the conundrum of Vegapunk. Of course, as the story progresses, the rest of his story will be revealed.

All information about Vegapunk

We first see the supposed Dr. Vegapunk in One Piece Chapter 1061, titled "Future Island Egghead." But soon it is revealed that the person is not the real Dr. Vegapunk but only a part of him.

There are five other similar parts of Vegapunk, all scientists dedicated to their research. The main Vegapunk and his six parts all live on Egghead Island, which is a government research facility that the Strawhats stumbled upon.

We also learn the following things about the legendary Dr. Vegapunk:

1) There are six Vegapunks (Punk-Satellites)

Due to being extremely busy with his many types of research, Vegapunk has divided his being into six different beings who work on researches and inventions that he cannot find time to contribute to.

These six beings originating from Vegapunk are called Satellites, and they all identify themselves as Dr. Vegapunk. Each Vegapunk has a different appearance and personality, and they are all dedicated to their scientific pursuits.

The six satellites of Vegapunk, namely Shaka, Lilith, Edison, Pythagoras, Atlas and York, are numbered from one to six. They all represent different aspects of a personality. Shaka, Lilith, Edison, Pythagoras, Atlas and York represent good, evil, thought, wisdom, violence and greed respectively.

Dr. Vegapunk's original body, Stella, is that of an old man with a giant apple-shaped head. He appears as himself in chapter 1066, "Ohara's Will" and meets Luffy, Chopper, Jinbei and Bonney.

2) Vegapunk ate the devil fruit Nomi Nomi no Mi

Like many important characters in the series, Vegapunk is also a He consumed the Nomi Nomi no Mi. Although we don't know much about the Devil Fruit, it can be assumed that it is a Paramecia type, and it granted the already awesome Vegapunk the ability to store unlimited information.

But as a side effect, it also causes his brain to grow with the information absorbed, giving rise to his apple head.

As the brilliant scientist continued to collect data throughout his life, his brain also continued to expand and take on a shocking size. The entire top half of the giant egg on Egghead Island is Vegapunk's brain, and it continues to grow with each bit of data.

This ever-growing part of the egg is called Punk Records, and it is updated daily with information collected from the main Vegapunk and its six satellites. Vegapunk is connected to Punk Records thanks to the antennas on his head.

3) Vegapunk is from the island of Karakuri

Dr. Vegapunk is from the island of Karakuri, in the future country of Baldimore. The island is said to be very advanced in terms of technology. Its inhabitants are also extraordinarily intelligent, although not everyone is a genius like Vegapunk.

This is also the same island that Kuma sent Franky to at the end of the Sabaody Archipelago Arc. Franky spent two years on the island and learned about advanced technology and machinery.

4) Vegapunk worked with Caesar, Judge and Queen

Before his appearance in the recent arc, Vegapunk had been mentioned several times by various characters.

Before joining the World Government as a lead scientist, Vegapunk worked with fellow scientists like Caesar Clown, Vinsmoke Judge, and Queen and was part of an illegal research team called MADS.

After the group's arrest, Vegapunk was spotted and was hired by the Marines.

5) Vegapunk knew Clover and Dragon

Despite being the inventor of the Pacifista and the Seraphim, for which Bartholomew Kuma suffered inhumanely for years, Vegapunk is not a man without a heart or a conscience.

After Ohara was destroyed by the Buster Call ordered by the World Government just to learn the truth about the Void Century, Vegapunk traveled to the demolished island to pay respects to his friend Professor Clover, the world-renowned archaeologist and director of Ohara. Library.

There he met a young man, who had also come to pay homage to the deceased scholars of Ohara. It seems that Vegapunk and Dragon have known each other for a while, as evidenced by the way they addressed and greeted each other.

Dragon, then captain of the rebel forces, revealed that he had offered Vegapunk to join the rebel group and help them with his intelligence and inventions. But Vegapunk had declined the offer, choosing instead to join the Marines.

This was because the scientist believed his gifts would thrive under the world government rather than the impoverished rebel group. But despite their differences, they both sympathized with Ohara's victims and wanted world peace.

6) Vegapunk went to Elbaf to read Ohara's books

Even in the face of destruction, the scholars of Ohara did not let history be erased by the world government and threw all the books on the island into the lake in the center of the island to save them.

These books were then collected by the giant, who took the books and the story they contained to Elbaf. Dr. Vegapunk, at one point, visited Elbaf and read the books, discovering the advanced technology of the Void Century.

The robot that Luffy and his colleagues found in The Six Faces of Vegapunk was actually built 900 years ago, during the Void Age.

Vegapunk was inspired by the robot and dared to make one himself, but his invention failed because he could not find the energy source used by the robot. The robot inspired the Pacifista and Seraphim Vegapunk built it later in his career.

The Egghead Arc is only just beginning. As One Piece slowly but surely progresses towards its grand finale, more and more truths and mysteries are revealed, as evidenced by the Wano Arc, which gave us major revelations.

We can expect the same with this bow. is an intriguing character, and his connections to several key players in the story make him all the more interesting. He's still a headache in the , but we'll surely learn all about him as we move forward in the arc.
