1) Who are the main characters in Horimiya?
The two protagonists of the story are and , two high school students whose paths have never crossed although they are classmates. But when they meet outside of school, they discover the real people behind the images they portray at school.
Besides the main couple, there are Toru Ishikawa and Yuki Yoshikawa, Hori's friends who eventually become good friends with Miyamura. There is also the student council trio: Kakeru Sengoku and Sakura Kouno.
Around the middle of the story, Shuu Iura and later, Akane Yanagi join the group.
2) Is Horimiya's story over?
The manga's story, Hori-san to Miyamura-kun, ended in 2021 with the group finally graduating from high school. The Horimiya anime also concluded its story with the same ending. In keeping with the light-hearted nature of the story, the main characters also happily graduate from high school.
Although there are bittersweet moments of leaving memories behind and inevitably moving away from friends, the final chapter and episode deliver some hilarious content. Miyamura's emotional and heartfelt monologue makes the ending memorable.
3) Will there be a Horimiya season 2?
Since the original Horimiya story has ended, it is unlikely that there will be a Horimiya season 2. The final episode of the Horimiya anime was sweet and compact, giving an entertaining and meaningful conclusion to Hori and Miyamura's love story.
There could be an OVA or Special in the future, especially since the author of Horimiya released a special chapter after the manga officially ended. In the chapter we see Hori and Miyamura after they have graduated from high school and their relationship is still going strong. The climax of the chapter is Hori getting a new haircut where his hair is shorter and Miyamura being wowed by it.
But a chronological season 2 might not happen. But you can never be too sure of anything.

As we discussed above, the reason why there is no Horimiya season 2 is because the Horimiya anime concluded its story with the last chapter. In the original manga, the story ends with Hori and Miyamura graduating together, which was adapted as the final episode of the first season.

A running gag in Horimiya is that Miyamura and Sengoku don't want to take their clothes off or wear short sleeves, no matter how necessary or hot it is. While Miyamura doesn't want to take off his clothes because of the ones that are banned at school and will surely get him suspended for a while, Sengoku has a completely different reason.
Sengoku doesn't want to take his clothes to swim because he is conscious of his body. He is very slim, his figure will surely make him teased by his friends and classmates. For this reason, he will do everything possible to avoid having to undress, even pretending that his arm has fallen off!
7) Why is Hori's father never home?
Kyosuke, Hori's father, is one of Horimiya's best characters. His dynamic with Hori and Miyamura respectively makes up for some of the series' more heartbreaking scenes. He has a mischievous look and personality, acting cool before being put in his place by his teenage daughter.
Kyosuke's unique relationship with Kyoko is due to the fact that he is almost never home and has therefore been an absentee parent to Kyoko and Souta. He is always absent because of his work, which has created a distance between him and his children. However, Kyosuke truly loves his children and cares about their well-being. And despite her aggressive behavior towards Kyosuke, Kyoko also has a special place in her heart for her father.
8) Are Hori and Miyamura getting married?
Although Hori and Miyamura's relationship has been strong from the beginning, it is at Christmas that they truly commit to each other. In an endearing scene, they propose staying together forever, indicating that they would like to get married in the future.
And while we don't see the promise come true in the anime, the webcomic gives us a glimpse into their future. In chapter 140 of the webcomic, Hori-san to Miyamura-kun, it is revealed at the end that Hori and Miyamura actually got married and have a son named Kyohei.
In this same chapter we also see Sengoku's daughter, probably with Remi, named Shizuru. As Shizuru cries after being bullied, Kyohei tells her to be happy, thus starting a friendship between the two.
