The last car anime on this list is this season's Overtake! The anime follows an impartial freelance photographer, Kouya Madoka, who has been in crisis for a while. But while on assignment at Fuji International Speedway, he meets teenage outsider Formula 4 driver Haruhi Asahina and rediscovers his interest in his profession.
Moved by Asahina's dedication, Madoka decides to help her win the race. They form a small team, Komaki Motors, to help the boy in his races. Exceed! has only had 4 episodes so far and the story already looks pretty promising.

Tailenders is a short 27-minute sci-fi racing anime about a well-known racer Shiro Tomoe whose promising career comes to a surprising halt when an experiment with U-Turn sends him to death's door. The only reason he survives the fatal accident is because doctors replace his damaged heart with the engine from his own race car.
But even after Shiro is cured, racing regulations prevent him from being a racing driver and demote him to mechanic. However, Shiro finds an opportunity to regain his pride and honor when a race is held for demoted pilots on a distant planet.

This car anime mixes racing and mecha into an interesting concoction. The story takes place in 2048, when the most exciting form of racing is the Immortal Grand Prix, abbreviated IGPX. In this race, huge mechanical humanoids race in a fast-paced, high-intensity chase spanning an entire city.
The race consists of two teams of three IG units, driven by different drivers who compete at a speed of 400 km/h. The total length of the course is 60 km and the IG units complete three laps. This race is all about speed, precision and teamwork.
