Sukuna Vs. Gojo: full fight
The Sukuna vs. Gojo fight was taking a long time. For the story to progress further, the two must confront each other. And they do this after Gojo is rescued from the Prison Realm. Their final battle takes place on Christmas Eve in Shinjuku.
Before the battle began, Uraume found the rest of Sukuna's fingers, except for one. With the rest of the fingers, Sukuna has almost regained full strength with a total of 19 fingers. Sukuna's last finger is hidden somewhere by Gojo himself, so there is little chance of Uraume finding it.
I. The beginning
Gojo starts the battle with a bang. He enlisted the help of Gakuganji and Utahime and, aided by Utahime's cursed technique, Solo Forbidden Area, Gojo uses his Hollow Purple at 200% of its power. The resulting attack is powerful enough to destroy everything in its path and demolish Sukuna's hands when he tries to stop the attack.
This is a big move from Gojo and deals considerable damage to Sukuna, but he quickly heals himself with Reverse Cursed Energy.
II. Hand-to-hand combat
After the first attack, their hand-to-hand combat begins. The biggest challenge in fighting Gojo is the inability to hit him due to his Infinity. But Sukuna also has a solution for that. Using Domain Amplification, Sukuna covers himself with a Domain that neutralizes all cursed techniques he touches, including Infinity.
This means that Sukuna can now touch Gojo and deal physical blows to him. Gojo has also trained extensively and can easily take on Sukuna in a physical fight. Their hand-to-hand combat is intense and destructive enough to destroy tall buildings around them.
This goes on for a while and when it becomes clear that there will be no clear winner in the physical fight, they move on to the next stage of their fight.
III. Domain Battles
Sukuna and Gojo are the two most powerful characters in the series and their respective domains are also two of the most powerful domains featured in the series. When their domains clash, Malevolent Shrine versus Unlimited Void, it's unclear which one will win.
This changes very suddenly when Sukuna cleverly uses the barrier-free nature of his domain to attack Unlimited Void from the outside. Unlike Malevolent Shrine, Unlimited Void is an enclosed space protected by a barrier. But like any domain, it is stronger on the inside and vulnerable on the outside.
Malevolent Shrine's relentless slashing attack on Unlimited Void's outer barrier shatters the domain, making Sukuna the winner of the first round of their domain battle.
The problem with domain battles is that when a domain collapses, the user suffers a damn three-minute technical burnout. During this period, they cannot use their cursed technique and are completely vulnerable. Sukuna uses this time to cut Gojo mercilessly with his slashing technique.
Gojo uses Reverse Technique and Simple Domain to heal himself and counter Sukuna's attacks. But the slashing attacks are too relentless for Gojo to properly heal himself.
When it looks like Gojo is about to lose, it is revealed that Gojo actually used the Reverse Cursed Technique not to heal his body but to recover his spent Cursed Technique.
He uses his proximity to Sukuna and blasts him with Cursed Technique Reversal: Red into the shrine of Sukuna's domain.
By doing so, they are ready for round two of their domain battle. This time, Gojo makes sure to strengthen the barrier of his domain against outside attacks.
But Sukuna once again proves to be more intelligent. He deactivates his domain's hit effect and uses it to increase the power of his outside attack, something Gojo did not predict. As a result, Unlimited Void collapses once again.
When Gojo is hit by powerful slashing attacks again, he uses his clan's Falling Blossom emotion to heal the superficial cuts. Gojo opens his domain for the third time in a row, this time he makes it tiny, smaller than a basketball.
The small size of the domain has raised its power to several levels. This time, when Sukuna breaks Gojo's domain from the outside, Gojo managed to damage Sukuna inside the domain too much for him to maintain the malicious shrine.
As a result, both domains collapse, leaving each side unable to use their innate cursed technique for three minutes.
The fourth time they open their domains, Gojo wins and the fifth time their domains clash, Sukuna is affected by the effects of Unlimited Void. That’s when the next twist occurs.
IV. Appearance of Mahoraga
It turns out that Sukuna has already invoked the Ten Shadows Technique and hid the Shikigami in the shadows, giving him time and opportunity to adapt to the boundless Void.
He's also smart enough to have Megumi carry the burden of adapting Mahoraga instead of carrying it himself.
Now that Unlimited Void is useless against Sukuna because of Mahoraga, the only thing standing between Sukuna and victory is Gojo's Infinity.
For Mahoraga to adapt to the Infinite, the wheel above Mahoraga's head must turn four times. This means that Gojo must destroy Mahoraga before the Shikigami experiences Infinity four times.
V. Appearance of the fused beast Agito
Gojo is determined to destroy Mahoraga before that happens and to stop Gojo from doing so, Sukuna summons another powerful Shikigami, Merged Beast Agito, created from the combination of Round Deer, Mourning Tiger, Great Serpent and Nue. With the addition of Agito, Gojo must now fight a three-on-one battle.
It's a tough battle and Mahoraga eventually adapts to Infinity and cuts off Gojo's arm. But he heals himself with Reverse Cursed Technique and hits Agito with Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, instantly destroying the Shikigami.
VI. Hollow Purple
Now that Agito is out of the picture, only Sukuna and Mahoraga remain. Gojo plans to use the rest of the blue technique and combine it with Curse Energy Reversal: Red to create Hollow Purple. Sensing his plan, Sukuna orders Mahoraga to destroy the remaining Blue while he destroys the Red.
As Mahoraga moves towards the Blue in the sky, Gojo uses the force of attraction from the Blue's technique to summon himself between the Shikigami and the Blue, launching a powerful physical attack on Mahoraga.
Sukuna, for his part, uses Piercing Blood to destroy the Rouge technique. But Gojo starts singing to enhance Red's power, rendering Piercing Blood useless.
The Red and Blue techniques eventually collide, creating a powerful singularity that is Hollow Purple at its 120% power. The intensity of the attack demolished everything in its path, affecting all three of them.
VII. Conclusion
The end of the fight is a huge twist. At first it seems like Gojo won because while Mahoraga and Sukuna are in no condition to fight after being hit by Hollow Purple, Gojo was less affected because the technique is created from his own cursed technique.
Sukuna then reveals that when Mahoraga adapted to Infinity, he was not adapting to Gojo but to space, to the world itself. And so when the Hollow Purple is launched, Mahoraga has already cut everything in its path, including Gojo.
Thus, the winner of the decisive fight Sukuna against Gojo in Shinjuku is none other than the King of Curses: Sukuna. Later, Gojo's conversation with Geto after his death confirms that Sukuna is indeed stronger than Gojo.
And even though Gojo gave 100% in this fight, he thinks Sukuna wasn't giving his all. Gojo also mentions that Sukuna would have won even if he hadn't used the Ten Shadows Technique.
Admitted by the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer of the modern era, this confirms that Sukuna is officially stronger than Gojo and currently, the strongest character in history.
