Monkey D. Garp: Power and Abilities
The first competitor in Garp vs Blackbeard is Monkey D. Garp, Vice Admiral of the World Government Marines. He is famous and respected by all as a Marine hero who was not only a rival of Gol D. Roger, but also joined him in defeating the infamous pirate Rocks D. Xebec. Garp is a fearsome Marine who has given pirates around the world a run for their money. From Whitebeard to Don Chinjao, all of the Navy's former enemies can't help but respect its strength.
During his long career, he was offered the position of admiral several times, but he always refused because he did not want to work directly under the Celestial Dragons. Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard): power and abilities
Blackbeard was introduced to viewers during the Jaya Arc, where he met Luffy and talked about his dreams. At first, its true meaning was unclear. But as the story progresses, it becomes very evident that Blackbeard will be one of the greatest players in the game and Luffy's toughest competition to become the Pirate King. He was formerly a member of the Whitebeard Pirates. But unlike the rest of the crew for whom loyalty and solidarity were essential, Teach's mind was filled with treacherous ambition and greed. He killed his brother Thatch and stole the Yami Yami no Mi. He later defeated Ace, who was chasing him, and sold him to the Marines in exchange for becoming one of the Shichibukai. But unlike the other Shichibukai, he did not fight for the Marines in the Marineford War. His intention was different: he had come to kill the seriously injured Whitebeard and steal his Devil Fruit. Blackbeard is the only character in the series to possess not one, but two distinct Devil Fruits. One of them is the Logia type Yami Yami no Mi or the Fruit of Darkness-Darkness. In One Piece, Devil Fruits are featured as the main power system where the strongest and most important characters are Devil Fruit users. But after the introduction of Haki, it is revealed that some of the biggest people in the series are actually not Devil Fruit users, but rather Haki users. Garp and Roger, who were once the strongest people in the world, did not possess any Devil Fruit powers. However, as time passes, it is entirely believable that Garp no longer possesses the same power as he did at his peak.
