Season 2 is currently airing and fans are losing their minds over the back-to-back high-tension epic episodes. 17) Game
It's unusual for antagonist deaths to be emotional in most anime, but this is one of the exceptions to that. It was an unrecorded cursed spirit of special quality, born from fear of volcanic eruptions. The curse had a strong hatred for humanity and wanted the curses to dominate the world.
Jogo may have been a villain but he had always been loyal to his companions and his species in general. He died after fighting at Shibuya. In his final moments, he was overwhelmed by the fact that Sukuna recognized him as strong and thought of his companions in his last breath.
16) Misato Kuroi
In Gojo's Past Arc, we can see him in his school days. During their second year, he and he were assigned to accompany Riko Amanai to Tokyo Jujutsu High. During their mission, they also met Misato Kuroi, the girl's servant and guardian.

A cheerful and vivacious woman, Nagi Yoshino was a loving parent and only family member of Junpei Yoshino. In the series, she appeared after Junpei befriended Yuji and she invited him to dinner. After what seemed like a satisfying, calm and happy gathering and bonding, Yuji left and a cursed spirit attacked Nagi.
This unexpected scene was saddening. The cursed spirit was attracted by Sukuna's finger, which was planted in Nagi's house. Ruining Junpei's happy family was part of Mahito's cunning plan, and Nagi was innocently dragged into it.

11) Tsumiki Fushiguro
has always been a very serious guy for his age, but the only person he seemed to love and care for wholeheartedly was his older half-sister Tsumiki Fushiguro. At some point in the past, Toji married Tsumiki's mother but eventually abandoned them. Tsumiki's mother also ran away at one point, leaving both children behind.
Tsumiki's tragic end came during the initiation and incarnation of the ancient sorcerer Yorozu into his body. Yorozu and Sukuna fought and the latter inevitably defeated and killed her, also killing Tsumiki in the process.
His death was a shock to Megumi and the grief made him so hollow that it gave Sukuna the chance to completely regain control of his body without resistance. Megumi's reaction makes this one of the most emotional deaths in Jujutsu Kaisen.
10) Yuki Tsukumo
was one of the four special grade jujutsu wizards and one of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. She never accepted many missions because she disagreed with the higher-ups in the jujutsu world and had a different motivation. Yuki wanted to eradicate all curses from the world so that jujutsu sorcerers would no longer have to die in vain.
His end came after his fight against Kenjaku at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Both Yuki and Choso fought Kenjaku but ultimately lost. While Choso survived, Yuki was grotesquely injured and died.
9) Toji Fushiguro
Toji Fushiguro was once a member of the Zenin clan and also a father. He was the main antagonist of Gojo's Past Arc. His initial appearance had suggested that he was a money-minded person. For the money, he murdered Riko.

After being released from the Prison Realm, Gojo challenged Sukuna to a fight in Shinjuku on Christmas Eve. Their fight was the biggest fight of the series thus far. After a long and exciting fight, Gojo was finally killed, leaving Sukuna to be the winner and the strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen.
It's redundant to reiterate how shocking Gojo's death was to the fandom. He was a fan favorite character and the characters fans wanted the most. Gojo has also always been the strongest character in the series, so seeing him die was very painful for fans. His scenes with Geto and his other fallen comrades are equally painful and moving and did not fail to bring fans to tears.
