What is the Revolutionary Army?
The Revolutionary Army is the largest and most powerful rebel force in the world. It is a very influential military organization spread throughout the world. The organization is led by Monkey D. Dragon, nicknamed "the most wanted man in the world" due to the threat he and his army pose to the World Government.
The Revolutionary Army is quite large, with thousands of soldiers, and their numbers are constantly growing. The army has several divisions, each led by its own division. Each commander has their own deputy commander who helps them lead their faction. The soldiers of this rebel force are all trained in combat and equipped with weapons. However, they never harm any citizen, only World Government soldiers.
The Revolutionary Army's headquarters was in Baltigo, but the fierce battle against the Blackbeard Pirates caused them to move their headquarters to Momoiro Island.
Pass
The World Government, particularly the Celestial Dragons, rule the world with brutal cruelty, causing several atrocities that normal people must endure in silence. The culmination of their many atrocities includes forced slavery and hunting common people for their own pleasure. One of their horrible acts was the Ohara Incident, in which the World Government destroyed the entire island of Ohara simply because they knew how to read poneglyphs.
It was at this time that the execution of the Pirate King took place and the Great Pirate Age began. When the world was shaken by all these major events, Monkey D. Dragon teamed up with Emporio Ivankov and together they founded the Freedom Fighters.
Freedom fighters carried out attacks in several kingdoms where the monarchy was mistreating the country's population and citizens wanted to get rid of their rulers. The rebel army attacked the monarchy of these kingdoms and dethroned their rulers, virtually taking these kingdoms out of the control of the world government.
Creation
22 years ago, in the Sorbet Kingdom of South Blue, King Becori passed a new law stating that the kingdom would be divided in two. The northern part where Castle Town is located would be considered the true Kingdom of Sorbet while the southern part would be set aside as a lawless zone. The king made this law to reduce the Heavenly Tribute they had to pay to the World Government.
At that time, , who was then 25 years old, was a pastor in a church in the south of the Sorbet Kingdom. When the royal army kidnapped southerners as slaves, Kuma protested and attacked the kidnappers, leading to his imprisonment. When Ginny and other southerners tried to break Kuma out of prison, they were arrested as well.
While Kuma and the others were in prison, the Freedom Fighters attacked the Sorbet Kingdom, defeated the royal army, and dethroned King Becori. After that, Ivankov led Dragon to the prison where they freed Kuma and his companions. From then on, Kuma joined the Freedom Fighters. With Kuma becoming the third pillar of the rebel army, the organization changed its name from Freedom Fighters to Revolutionary Army.
True goal
The true goal of the Revolutionary Army is to end the world government's dictatorial rule over the world and bring true justice to society. To achieve this, they deploy their forces in kingdoms where citizens rebel against their ruler and attempt to liberate their country.
