10 Beautiful Anime Girls Who Are Bookworms
10 Beautiful Anime Girls Who Are Bookworms
The books are wonderful. You're definitely missing if you haven't smelled the fresh books and felt the rough texture of the pages between your fingers.
Or how about snuggling up in a blanket with a book in one hand and hot chocolate in the other as the winter winds howl outside? The world of books is vast enough to get lost in it for an eternity.
Sometimes you also meet bibliophiles in anime and identify HARD with them. Not everyone will understand their love for reading, but these characters don't care because they know that nothing in the world can take away the magic they can feel through words.
Today we are going to talk about beautiful anime girls who are bookworms. These book enthusiasts can often be seen with a book. They are more often found in a library than in a cafe or amusement park (understandably). They may or may not find more joy in books than in people.
Since you understand the gist, let's get started!
10 Beautiful Anime Girls Who Are Bookworms
10. Ritsu Kawai (from Kawai Resort Guide to Mansions and Inn Behavior)
Ritsu is the perfect definition of a book lover. Her mother owns the Kawaii Resort and she came to live there after her mother went overseas to work.
Sumiko, Ritsu's great-aunt, who takes care of the resort in her mother's absence, often leaves her in charge when she is not at home.
Ritsu is known to be a book enthusiast in the series. Usa, the MC, had a lot of trouble talking to him due to his introverted personality.
She prefers the company of her books but began to open up more after Usa became her friend. She often has a book in her hand, even while walking to and from school. In fact, her mood is often greatly affected by the book she is reading.
9. Victorique (from Gosick)
Next on our list is our resident Lolita bibliophile. Victorique de Blois, the deuteragonist of , is a bossy but cute 15-year-old girl who attends the Académie Sainte Marguerite. Kazuya first finds her while wandering through the lush botanical garden atop the school library.
Victorique may be a student, but she's mostly found in the library building, which is actually part of her mysterious aura in the series. Naturally, she also loves books. A fun fact about her is that she is often found smoking a pipe while thinking, like Sherlock Holmes.
8. Myne from The Rise of a Bookworm
I mean… It's in the name. When bookworm Motosu Urano discovers that she can finally realize her dream of working as a librarian, she is delighted. But fate has cruel twists in store for her and she dies in an unforeseen accident.
Good news? She is Myne, the frail daughter of a poor family from another world. Bad news?
Books are a rare commodity in the world and only the nobility can possess them. Of course, Myne takes it upon herself to get her hands on some books. If she can't get them, she'll create them.
Myne is a classic bookworm. Her eyes light up every time she sees words on paper. Due to the constraints of the world she reincarnates into, she is not often seen with a book. However, when her efforts began to bear fruit, she began spending hours reading again.
7. Yassan (The literary girl) from The Daily Life of High School Students
She stole hearts (and laughs) every time she appeared on the show. Initially introduced as the Literary Girl, Yassan is a recurring character in the slice-of-life series The Daily Life of High School Students.
She got her name because she is always seen with a book whenever Hidenori meets her by the river.
She is not only an avid reader but also a writer. In fact, she went to the riverside for a chance romantic encounter to base her storylines.
Things didn't go ENTIRELY as she planned, and her antics with Hidenori, who she ends up having a crush on, are a running gag in the series.
6. Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury) from the Sailor Moon series
Sweet, shy, gentle and supportive are the words that can be used to describe her. Ami Mizuno is the everyday civilian identity of Sailor Mercury, one of the Inner Sailor Guardians. As a normal human, she is a student of Azabu Juban, like Usagi.
Ami likes to read and study. She is incredibly intelligent and always comes top in her school exams. Some view her as snobbish and aloof due to her shy nature, but once she befriends Usagi, people's opinions begin to change.
5. Kotomi Ichinose (from Clannad)
MC Tomoya's childhood friend, Kotomi Ichinose is one of the supporting characters in the anime Clannad VA. She is a quiet and beautiful girl who knows how to play the piano, albeit horribly. She is extremely intelligent and one of the best students in the school.
Kotomi loves books and can often be found reading at the library. She also likes scrapbooking with cutouts from magazines and newspapers. She is bright but socially awkward and often depends on Tomoya to help her socialize.
4. Beatrice (from Re:Zero)
We have another adorable little librarian on our hands. Beatrice is one of the main supporting cast members of Re:Zero. She is the guardian of the main library of Roswaal Manor (or rather was until its destruction in the fourth arc).
Beatrice may look like a cute and adorable girl from the outside, but in reality, she is a 400-year-old spirit created by the Witch of Greed.
She also has a rather sharp tongue and an icy attitude. However, as Subaru gets to know her more, he realizes that she is simply lonely and that her icy exterior masks a brave and gentle heart.
3. Elianna Bernstein (from Bibliophile Princess)
Another series that makes it pretty obvious from the title. Elianna Bernstein is the main character in the Bibliophile drama Princess.
She is a sweet, calm and beautiful girl from a family known for having a great love for reading. Of course, Eli is a living example considering how much of a bookworm he is.
Eli's hobbies begin and end with reading. It's her greatest desire and she doesn't like to indulge in anything else. So when Prince Christopher lures her with a marriage contract in exchange for free access to the royal library, she can't refuse!
2. Maka Albarn (from Soul Eater)
Maka is quite different from the others on the list since she is the furthest from the typical "shy and quiet bookworm" image.
One of the main cast members of Bones' shounen series Soul Eater, she is a false meister at the Death Weapon Meister Academy partnered with Soul Evans, the main character.
She is generally quite serious and has excellent grades. However, she is still physically repulsed by the unfaithful antics of her father, Spirit. She is also good friends with Soul, but they often bicker.
Maka is known to like reading, which none of her friends like. She is often seen sitting alone with a book while Soul and Black Star are doing something stupid again.
1. Yuki Nagato (from the Haruhi Suzumiya series)
And at the top we only have the best girl from one of the most popular anime of the 2000s. Yuki Nagato is one of the main actors of the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise. She appears to be a shy and introverted girl who is always with a book but later reveals to Kyon that she is an alien sent by Data Overmind.
Yuki was part of the Literary Club before joining the . She is the calmest character in the series and prefers reading to socializing.
Of course, part of this is due to his inability to express human emotions. She eventually opens up after being discovered through Kyon's efforts in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.
And that brings us to the end of the article. Do you also love reading as much as these characters do? For our part, we think that reading adds charm to the character of these animated girls!
